tolo171
Hello all. Using latest OpenIV & RAGE Audio Toolkit programs I finally brought back missing songs to radio stations. It took me 3 days to restore all of them. I tested it on latest clean GTA IV CE built - GTA IV Complete Edition 1.2.0.43 on Steam. I didn't get any issues and errors so far. I put files on zip archive, but I couldn't find any file share service, which I can upload it. So I create torrent file, which you can download the archive: http://www.mediafire.com/file/n2fc7as2awwetxf/update_music_gtaiv_1.2.0.43.zip.torrent/file It is really simple to install it. Just 'copy & paste' to main directory and replace existing files. Hopefully it is gonna work for your GTA IV CE copy as well. All tests I did with saves on latest version - 1.2.0.43. But in theory they suppose to work. But just in case please make a copy of your saves, before apply update. Another problem that I've encountered is ads playing continuously on LCHC after a certain amount of time (after all the songs from IV's LCHC are finished to be specific). After reloading it plays the songs from EFLC's LCHC.

What programs did you use to extract the music and place into the game? Because I have issues in trying to do so; it ends up as a zipped folder that refuses to open with anything. Or is there an alternative way to install the folder altogether?

Then you have to extract all files to main GTA IV folder and replace all files - you can use 7-zip program.

When you release this downgrader as your own, it will look like the previous version? I mean will it be copy paste and run the .bat file? naizarak
i'm sure many people are aware of this, but you can "restore" old music by using independence fm. you can extract the audio files using openiv and convert them to mp3, then place them in the custom music folder. i've been playing with this method for a while and it works well a) doesn't require modding or messing with game files. guaranteed to not break the game or corrupt your save. if rockstar updates the game tomorrow it will still work b) you can use independence fm in 'radio' mode and hear commercials, news reports, etc. functionally identical to the real radio channels c) or you can set it to "mp3-player" mode and have the ability to skip/replay songs d) you can add/remove your own songs into the mix e) you can place only the restored songs on independence fm and just treat it like another radio station, or dump all the songs for convenience if anyone is interested i can upload my music folder that i extracted from 1.0.7 Edited August 31, 2020 by naizarak
