I just realized in patch 8 and older it's ZiT but in the complete edition its Zit can you fix it in the next update?

nah, its actually ZiT for IV songs and Zit for EFLC songs.

It's a bug on rockstar side and i kept it, to keep Rockstar Vision TM

what asi loader did you use?
what is folder structure?  (take a pic and post it on imgur)

i'm using Silent's ASI Loader, and this is the folder structure i install the "Essential Modifications" :DD

1.- directory gta sa
1.- scripts

Edit: I replace the vorbisFile.dll of your downgrader for the Silent's ASI Loader vorbisFile.dll, that can create a conflict?

P. D. I can rename the gta-sa.exe to gta_sa.exe, delete gta-sa-steam.exe and use this Launcher?

I did as instructed to downgrade GTA:SA from Rockstar Launcher version to v1 but I can't get past GTA-SA&SA:MP loading screen.

It just straight crashes or freezes. Does this method still work?

Will my current GTA IV Complete Edition save file be compatible with the game when the radio downgrader eventually gets released? I'm almost at 100% and wanna know if I'll still be able to use my current save file, thanks.

I also hope that after the release of the new radio downgrade, they will work again. Now after applying the old version radio downgrade, I get the error "Download Failed. Start of a new game". I want to play the game on the latest version with the old radio and the ability to save.

Hello all.
Using latest OpenIV & RAGE Audio Toolkit programs I finally brought back missing songs to radio stations. It took me 3 days to restore all of them.
I tested it on latest clean GTA IV CE built - GTA IV Complete Edition 1.2.0.43 on Steam. I didn't get any issues and errors so far.
I put files on zip archive, but I couldn't find any file share service, which I can upload it. So I create torrent file, which you can download the archive:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/n2fc7as2awwetxf/update_music_gtaiv_1.2.0.43.zip.torrent/file
It is really simple to install it. Just 'copy & paste' to main directory and replace existing files.
Hopefully it is gonna work for your GTA IV CE copy as well.

Thanks man, this is really awesome. Been waiting for a working fix since the latest patch a few months back! Will my current 100% save be compatible with the game once this mod is applied?

Hi. I didn’t have saves from previous builds, so I couldn’t check it. All tests I did with saves on latest version - 1.2.0.43. But in theory they suppose to work. But just in case please make a copy of your saves, before apply update.

i tried tackling it with RAGE audio toolkit myself, but thought i would rather wait for Parik's tool, but that took longer than expected :D

Hi Sam Lake,

You have my permission to use these files :)
That Parik's tool can be really useful, if it will be created it - we can add for example these 11 new tracks to Vladivostok station as a bonus :) (it is really hard to do it on RAGE Audio Toolkit, but when I will find more time, I will try to figure this out).

Small hotfix for above update - now all songs are properly recognized by ZiT! for GTA IV, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony:

Does The Journey work for you guys? It just plays static for me.

Another problem that I've encountered is ads playing continuously on LCHC after a certain amount of time (after all the songs from IV's LCHC are finished to be specific). After reloading it plays the songs from EFLC's LCHC.

Try to uninstall (also delete everything what left on main folder) and install again (clean 1.2.0.43). Then paste all files to main directory (replace all of them). It should work - it is working for me.

Hello, thank you so much for releasing this! What programs did you use to extract the music and place into the game? Because I have issues in trying to do so; it ends up as a zipped folder that refuses to open with anything. Or is there an alternative way to install the folder altogether?

Hello. First you have to download torrent file and download whole archive (around 7GB) - you can use utorrent to do it. Then you have to extract all files to main GTA IV folder and replace all files - you can use 7-zip program.

Thank you very much for your downgrader for GTAIV.

I was wondering if it could be possible to readd Schweine - Glukoza song (from Vladivostok FM) to the intro cutscene playing from Roman's car as it was in the older versions with the original music

Yes, but Sam Lake would have to find the lines of code responsible for this in the mission scripts from older versions and adapt them to the Complete Edition.

When you release this downgrader as your own, it will look like the previous version? I mean will it be copy paste and run the .bat file?

i'm sure many people are aware of this, but you can "restore" old music by using independence fm.  you can extract the audio files using openiv and convert them to mp3, then place them in the custom music folder.  i've been playing with this method for a while and it works well

a) doesn't require modding or messing with game files. guaranteed to not break the game or corrupt your save.  if rockstar updates the game tomorrow it will still work

b) you can use independence fm in 'radio' mode and hear commercials, news reports, etc.  functionally identical to the real radio channels

c) or you can set it to "mp3-player" mode and have the ability to skip/replay songs

d) you can add/remove your own songs into the mix

e) you can place only the restored songs on independence fm and just treat it like another radio station, or dump all the songs for convenience

if anyone is interested i can upload my music folder that i extracted from 1.0.7

Good idea can be placed these 11 new tracks from Vladivostok there.
