Bi9Daddy68
Please post about your connection stability. If it's all good, just say so. If it's like mine, BAD! Please leave your network stats like Up/Dwn Spd, Ping, and how often you get disconnected. I'm hoping someone at R* sees these. I'll start: 1.42Mbps/.27, ping 122, all from network stats on Xbox One, disconnected every few minutes. Once since latest update I played 50 minutes before getting kicked. Bi9Daddy68
Doesn't look like people have any interest in connection losses. 20cent
20cent
I don’t know the exact speed of my connection but I’m able to play on other games. Just not red dead. It was doing well for the last couple of weeks but over the weekend it just tanked! I’ve read posts saying that R* should go to private servers. I’m ignorant to that stuff but I assume a private server would mean it’s only me in the world and anybody I invite to it? I’m all for that
jazzbone
The issue of frequent disconnects is not our internet or console model. The problem is at the other end, not our end. Bi9Daddy68
Krommer
Yes, it is on their end. Though I initially fell for that "clear your cache!" garbage, I've since stopped doing it. There is no rhyme, or reason, to the disconnects from my end. I can play for 6 hours with no disconnect, or I can play for 10 minutes then immediately get a series of 3 disconnects. I don't think it is a coincidence that the standard message is "... due to a fault of the rockstar game servers..."
Mr.Kiljoy
I'm running on a personal wifi acct. not a hard line to my Pro. And my Disco problems show the falt to be on their end as well. It does seem to have gotten worse recently... also player movement is laggy when stowing an animal on my horse. Slower than normal... very frustrating. My player seems confused as he stares at the saddle for 10 seconds before hooking on that rabbit carcass. Point Being things move a little choppy and seem off somehow, another example is "occasionally while shooting at game through a scope.. no visible impact on a kill shot, and they run"... HUH? Not my aim either ...I swear...lol! Kiljoy

This is how it is my end too. Got a couple of older 2014 XBones and I get the same intermittent problems where it's fine one day and not the next. Have also moved house too, so that's two different ISPs in two separate geographical locations tried*. *Note I didn't actually move house to test R*s game connectivity - just circumstance. Not even i'm that determined to prove a point Krommer

Outside of bugging it, on their social club/whatever site (which I'm sure millions of people are already doing), we can't improve it. It is much worse for me this Weekend, again. It wasn't too horrible Saturday, but it is nearly unplayable for me today (Sunday.) I can have a great connection, being able to download a media file on the PC at 10,000 bytes or something nuts, with a 16 MS ping, but I can't stay connected to Red Dead Online on the Xbox long enough to DARE a delivery mission. 15 minutes seems about average for me today, which is HORRIBLE for an online game; I gave up on the ones like collect arrows/whatever, since I'll never get more than 2/3 before I'm disconnected and it is back to 0/3. They SEEM to be doing stuff about it, which is why it seems to marginally improve but then get much worse (they are obviously tweaking things, for good and bad.) Bi9Daddy68
They need to hurry up! They fix pc in three days, been 1 year and it's getting worse. Looks like it's a timed error every 5 minutes usually for me like lobby switching.
