If Crate Drops are no longer in the game, why is it still present in 'Unlocks'?

Considering how many people on these forums care about little things not triggering correctly (think Agatha Baker's Deluxo mission or English Dave calls), I'm sure at least some of you will understand the constant OCD pain of seeing a line 'locked' and not being able to 'unlock' it.

 

Even though they are unavailable now, is there a way to at least make this line say 'unlocked' in current realities of GTAO?

personally i wouldn't know..,

R* at best with their DLC are mod makers show are adamant to not add comparability patches for each mod they add..,

 

same goes for harmless removed content..,

some of the unlocks will end up forever free(example some awards unlock clothes, but if said trophy is unobtainable.., they just removed the rewards, and leave the awards in purgatory..,)

 

sorry am not much of help..,

but R* is unlikely to add much in the way of fixing.., 

(at least make casino bets count towards the betting award R*)

They might still be rank locked for you. All of the old events are still in the game but have been disabled across all platforms. Do a quick search to see what rank they unlocked when they were active, that might be it as my 2nd char is rank 48 and still unlocking stuff.

Just checked my unlocks and the old events are there.  Distract cops, armored truck, destroy vehicle, plane takedown.  Read up a bit and it said rank 12 and complete Ron/Trevor contact missions.

Those are fine, I'm talking about the 'Crate drops' - it's at the very top of the list and doesn't have any rank unlock listed. I'm currently 78.

Have you done any Ron or Trevor contact jobs?   The thing I read was rank 12, Ron/Trevor contact missions and something for tpi in story.  But all the old free roam events were listed on my unlocks but I did those back on the 360.

edit: Ron should give you a phone call about useful items able to be dropped when they unlock.  If that still happens idk.

Nope.

The only possible way to get any of the crate drop items now is thru the wheel spins unless R* gives them to us in the future.
