Its cool.

Just glad I got some cool stuff. I didn't even know the wolf furred gloves existed. And I am pretty sure that the Morning Tailcoat is a BETA exclusive item as was the Racoon Hat.

Also the Pelt Half Chaps, I have added all three to my Snow outfit.

Its quite obvious that this messes up R* plans to rotate items to get people to play the game. If people can buy the items when they want they can't rotate rare items like the Morning Tailcoat and call it an event.

Could be. Could also be the current models have or cause issues. In that case, we shot our own foot. :D

I doubt it, its R* own fault for leaving the links up. All they did was sever them from the main catalogue page.

Was fun while it lasted! Just glad I still had some money in the bank before I went away for the weekend as I had just bought the bounty hunter wagon. Currently now only have $22 in the bank after my spending spree 😂. Looking forward to Tuesday when I finally get home and can try out the new items I bought.

How many of their players actually even used this though? It can't be more than a tiny fraction of their playerbase that would bother to look for, and use, something like this. It's pathetic that something like this instantly flies to the top of their priority list when there are actual game breaking issues to worry about.

Glitches like no Camp, dont cost them money or interfere with their plans. This does. Rare items get people playing the game again.

Get real people, this was a fix that took a web dev all of ten minutes. It can't be compared to the ongoing issues in a game the size of RDR2...

It was a cool little loophole, but it's gone now.

I don't think that's the issue, it's the fact that a "cool little loophole" that was of no detriment to anyone was instantly set upon and closed while the game has much bigger issues. Its like maintenance stopping to clean a spill while the entire hotel is on fire.

It's nothing like that analogy. More like one guy adding a line of code to a website while a whole different team continues working on game bugs uninterrupted. We're talking minutes of work here.

There are times when game devs priorities seem way out of whack, but this isn't one of them. They should just release all the clothing, but I guess they don't want to.

You are being pedantic. We all understand how easy it was to fix, anyone with a basic understanding of how websites work could do it. The issue is that this "loophole" affected nobody negatively apart from R*. They didn't need to fix it but they rushed to do so when the game has bigger issues. It just shows their mentality...

NO FUN ALLOWED!

If you were a guest in the hotel and you saw a janitor cleaning the spill while the entire hotel was on fire what would your reaction be? He can't help the fire brigade because he's not trained, he's doing his job and it takes all of thirty seconds. You would still think he's insane.

But sure, lets dance while Rome burns.

I'm not at all, that analogy made no sense, and is exactly the kind of silly exaggeration I was pointing out in the first place.

No one likes bugs in their code. Something like this is would be pretty embarrassing for the developers working on the social club site. I like glitches as much as the next guy, but I don't expect people to ignore their screw up at work because "fun",

Exactly my thoughts! Heck, we all paid for the items via these links; it's not like we're glitching items for free!

@RyuNovathanks soooo much fo sharing this though, I literally logged in between shifts just to get the Raccoon hat I always wanted. 😂

No worries. Saw in on Reddit and thought this place would like it. They did all the work.

Yea, I spent well over five hundred RDO Dollars getting stuff so its not like I stole it. I gots me a Racoon hat as well. Missed that when it was up.

I really appreciate this thread (even if I didn't get anything out of it) but he's kinda right dude, either way it's not a big deal and life moves on. 👍

Tbf the team responsible for handling the online social club catalogue is not going to be the same time fixing glitches in-game. This will have taken nothing away from the games development.

It was limited time clothing, it's designed to be rareish and somewhat exclusive, everyone knew that and everyone knew this little work around wasn't intended. They'll be back one day in the catalogue for you to buy, it aint the end of the world.

If you don't understand the meaning of words you're using, that's your problem. Maybe try google?

So no? Thats what I thought.

I assume you mean the word "pedantic"? That's not an insult. It is as you put it "stating the obvious". You will also notice that I closed the book on this hours ago, you decided to reopen it and then take the high road. I can actually prove that unlike you.

I will say it again, lets agree to disagree and leave it.

As has been said it was fun while it lasted and sadly it’s now over. Starting to go a bit off topic now and since the events over we may as well lock this thread and move on as it’s getting heated.
