Motka 90 Posted September 23 My buddy and I have been messing around with the swings in the game recently and we've been wondering how it was discovered but we can't find anything on it.
DOUGL4S1 5,031 Posted September 24 The earliest evidence I found was this video, recorded less than a month after GTA IV's release: It says the glitch was found by Evil kimaru & KASTER 11, but I found no other info on them. They don't have GTAForums accounts (at least not with those names). They were probably just messing around, I mean, driving a car into a park and crashing into a swingset sounds like a reasonable GTA evening.
billiejoearmstrong8 2,270 Posted September 24 (edited) I think it's so easy to run into that many many many people would've discovered it separately as soon as the game was released and it's not possible to pinpoint exactly who posted about it online first. Some glitches are much rarer/more complicated to come across but since you literally just have to happen to touch a swingset that's right out in the open in a busy area either on foot or in a vehicle (or even just notice the weird movement/sound it produces and then check it out) it's pretty much on the same level as "discovering" a random billboard or enterable apartment.
