I see many griefers and tryhards use the excuse of "we are needed in this game, the game would not be fun without us" excuse for doing things like blowing up cargo. Yeah, wrong. You do not make the game more fun for other people, you make it less fun. No one LIKES having their money wasted. No one LIKES having their time wasted. Stop pretending like you are doing this for anything more than your own enjoyment. You need us more than we need you.

They seem to take pride in being "hated" for dirty tactics and oddly narcissistic personalities. You would have to be one to understand one.

 

But, I always see evidence of immaturity, which most tend to be younger kids that take games far too seriously - and unfortunately, unless R* themselves address serious problems and take away the toys they abuse so much, we may continue seeing such behaviour.

 

Not much else I can say about 'em other than it's the way they are. Their problems are their burdens.

While I agree that they don't add anything worthwhile to the game and they're about as pleasant as a steaming pile of crap, we really don't need anymore griefer related threads. They always end the same way. Its a moot point which has been driven into the ground so many times that it always goes nowhere. No amount of complaining, reasoning or lobbying will get them to change, and as Canadian muscle above me said, they love the hate. Threads like this make their day and give them more validation than they're due.

Before this thread gets locked, I'd like to say the existence of these assholes probably help fund sharkcards. I mean, why else is there no option to run anything in private sessions? Why haven't r* implemented a feature that would be welcomed by damn well near almost everyone? Something so simple, enjoyable and possibly, engaging?

I’ll quote myself from a previous post:  the forced unbalanced pvp in this game & rdr breeds frustration which in turn breeds card sales.  That’s the reason all businesses are locked to public only and rdr has no lobby choices.

A couple of days ago I was helping a crew member selling some mc products when a guy managed to blow some of it up. After I killed the guy 5-6 times he sends me a message of why I'm griefing him and if I can please stop, he went passive and left the session after the next two kills

The game told him to do it, right? So that makes you the griefer for defending the product. [/sarcasm] Such hypocrisy, I can't believe you still pay insurance and incur BS points when you blow up an attacker's vehicle during a sale. I stopped selling product in populated sessions a long time ago because of this nonsense. Sure, I can stop an Oppressor mk2 with my Speedo Custom, but if that makes me the griefer, I'm done playing the game as intended.

Reminds me of when I was doing an mc job to burn some crates when bikers first came out. I was on my way to the area when I seen a dot moving to the same area as the mission so I kept an eye on it and yup he was there.....

 

Long story short is I went by on my bike and he tried to shoot me off the bike, after that I came back in a tank and made him leave the game. But the whole time he was saying how I was the bad one for not playing by the rules.

I'm a vehicle tryhard. I try way too hard to customize vehicles nicely and arrange them in garages.
