TheLordMarvel
I got the all black Kladruber. She isn't the fastest horse, but she's actually really tough and only gets super scared with cougars lol. Other predators don't bother her. RayD70
I would have bought a Criollo straight away when I hit 20, but much like the Arabians, I refuse to ride on the back of a dog. It looks ridiculous. Small ponies are for children. Bakkerbaard, Nugsy, JumpingKentFlash and 1 other

ALifeOfMisery
Most horse breeds come in different sizes, if you toggle the selection of a horse you want, some will be smaller than others, I always cycle for a bit and stick with what looks to be the largest available option for the horse I want. I did this with the Bay Frame Overo Criollo and it's by no means a short horse. I've often said horse temperaments are either random or varied within each breed. My 2 MFT have very different temperaments, the Amber being better. Same story with my 3 Turkoman, Silver has a great temperament, the other 2 not so much. IMO my Criollo has similar performance to my Amber MFT, but with a slightly more reliable temperament. As I said above though, I don't think breeds have a standard temperament, so your milage may vary. Xtf, RayD70 and AStiffBreeze

I suspect that the temperament variances could also be down to horse bonding level bugs, which I remember Rockstar mentioning in one of the patch notes. From my experience their temperament varies from day to day and sometimes even from hour to hour. There are days that my horse can step on a snake without flinching. The next day it bucks you off and runs a mile when being yards away from a snake. The Criollo seems to have less differences in temperament than my previous used horses. It remains controllable in most cases. Rev. Gnash and Xtf
Viewbob
the kladruber i bought was scared of everything so i had to get rid of it, and the criollo i bought was only slightly better and then i got the breton and it doesn’t run away that much during gun fights

Stupidis
6 hours ago, AStiffBreeze said: Are either of them better than the MFT in your opinion? I have a MFT (I think) but haven't really ridden it much. My primary horse was a golden Turkoman which I really enjoyed. However it felt way more skittish after the update. The Criolo whith bonding 4 felt ok. Fast and good stamina. The latter feels like it really doesn't matter though never mind which horse you have as long as you mash L3 (on PS4). Only thing, and thats a cosmetic one is that it feels quite small. That's why I, at the moment, like the Breton better. Maybe not as fast as the Criolo, but that can just as well be my imagination. However it is, in my opnion, not as easily scared as my Turkoman, and that's with bonding 3 only. Wouldn't be surprised if it pops up YT-videos soon with some good comparisons. Bakkerbaard
I'm thinking about buying. Sometime I feel like puiling up on a horse like I'm in a truck, big and imposing, and leaning out the window going: "Hey baby, can I offer you some serious frontier assistance?" My current Hungarian Halfbred Herman is pretty big, though I saw some kind of English workhorse, with the hair around the hooves, that looked pretty big. The Breton, I think. I like the look of those big and sturdy workhorses. It's not very easy to see how high and wide the horses are in game. What would be the most massive horse available now? Ronin Ogami
I'm thinking of purchasing the red/black mid level Breton (wanna call him Horsepool). What can anyone tell me about them? Specifically the differences between them, the Turk, & the Arabian . . .

Male Shire is the biggest Horse in the game. I think it's the biggest breed in the world. I have one, my first purchase in the game and he's so massive it looks comical sometimes. I have ridden next to people and I tower over them. 1 minute ago, Ronin Ogami said: (wanna call him Horsepool). What about Neighade Wilson? ALifeOfMisery
I wasn't planning on getting another horse but I saw a Mealy Dapple Breton in freeroam earlier, that's one beautiful mother f*cker of a horse. It can be my Christmas present to my character, that'll be around when I reach BH rank 20 at this rate. Every vid I see, people stand head and almost shoulder above its shoulders. Catalog had it listed as the same height as the Arabian. I have no doubt it's a great horse. The size worries me. I prefer Thoroughbred height or thereabouts. But I'll tell you what. Since this update has been so lucrative, I'll buy one anyway and see first hand. Edited September 21, 2019 by RayD70 Rev. Karen Daniels
Whatever the earliest horses you can get for being a Bounty Hunter. I bought one of them... well I "got" it. For some reason it was free for me (my friends have said for them it is costing them $150). I have been enjoying it because unlike my trusty Red Arabian, this one can wear my death mask, and the collector lantern. Also its stamina is better than the R. Arabian, and while it's top speed is significantly lower, I have been able to out ride my friends who use the R. Arabian.
