TopBillin912
18/09/19 This problem has been temporarily fixed, however still no gameplay. Spoiler Whenever I run gta_sa, I get this pop-up: Spoiler I would then get the limiter message and whether I close it or select Continue, it would start up. Spoiler However I could only get past the spraycans, as the "GTA Underground" splash screen pops up, my game crashes. Sometimes if I tab out before it, I'll see a Runtime error saying Runtime was forced to execute the program. Otherwise it will say "gta_sa.exe has stopped working". I have followed the instructions step by step and have recently installed a fresh copy of GTA San Andreas, using a 1.0 Hoodlum EXE. I've tried installing SS3 then installing SS3.3 etc but it still crashed. I've installed the latest Microsoft VS from 2015-2019 but yet no solution. I've deleted gta_sa.set, ran it over and it still crashed. 19/9/2019 Signs of progress. Spoiler So I had prior problems running the game, crashing at splash screen before the menu. I managed to get past that, however I'm stuck at the loading screen. When the loading bar fills a 1/4, it freezes and background music stops. If I tap enter, I'll hear the music continuing which I later found out was fastman92limitadjuster errors popping up and each time I pressed enter, it close one and another pops up. If I click through all the errors, the game continue loading to half the bar then forecloses with no further errors. Here's an example: Spoiler I'd continue getting those same pop up errors, all steaming from gtasa_vehicleAutoSetting.cfg. Okay so, how did I reach to this point: Using information given on this forum, I replaced the data folder with the original and managed to bypass the crash to get to the main menu. Afterwards, I began troubleshooting the game by replacing each file from the original data folder to the one used in the mod. The only file change that resulted in bypassing the crash was 'pedstats.dat'. So I reverted the replacement of all the other files, except pedstat.dat, keeping the original. The game would still crash, however I was able to get to the main menu, change options and open a new game. If I open a new game, the game would crash either mid-way and after the loading screen. Whenever I replace the mod's pedstats.dat, my game crashes at the splash screen before the menu. So I don't know if there's a problem with the pedstat.dat file in Snapshot 3, maybe you can sort this out. When I change the EXE compatibility settings, I get different results from the fastman64limitadjuster. Sometimes it may say it's pedstats.dat (if I have the mods' version there) or BANKSlD.dat in the audio folder as the last library loaded. Other times it may say main.scm, however what seems to be consistent is a 'ntdll.dll' fault. Despite learning all of this, the game is unplayable for me which means nothing has really changed. As you would've noticed by now, I haven't posted any minidumps of the crash because I simply cannot find any. Any useful advice that can assist in this matter would be welcomed. IssamRocks
first make sure your game doesn't have any mods or modified files, the game should be plain and simple.try running it.if the crash still occurs the only method would be reinstalling the mod.you must have missed some steps. follow these steps carefully. 1)make sure you have a normal base gta san andreas game without any mods and make sure the game isn't installed from steam.if so downgrade it 2)have the game ready in a folder and make sure it works and it is downgraded. 3)download the snapshot 3.3.11 installer and follow the steps in the installer to work.select the folder where the base game(gta san andreas) is and let it install. 4)once the game is installed, download the latest patch 3.3.11.2.when you are done download the HOODLUM 1.0 US crack and paste it over the game where snapshot 3.3.11 has been installed.now launch the game. let us know if your issue is fixed Edited September 25, 2019 by IssamRocks
TopBillin912
I have a full unmodified version of the game. I downgraded it, replaced it with different v1.0 EXEs, installed Snapshot 3 then Snapshot 3.3 and after that Snapshot 3.3.4. The game will not pass the splash screen, it either crashes stating a Runtime error or it would gta_sa is not working. Later on, I found out how to display framelimiter crash pop-ups by tweaking the .ini file. Anyway, I followed all the instructions, when through different crash threads and used any advice I could get from there. My only hope was when I replaced the .dat files and singling it down to one file which was pedstats.dat, when I replaced this file with the original, it not longer crashed at the splash screen and I could access the menu. Where it crashes after depends on the snapshot I have installed, eg. Snapshot 3 crashes either between or after the loading screen whilst snapshot 3.3 and 3.3.4 crashes at the start of the loading screen. I read a post by dkluin which stated that 3.3.4 includes the patches from 3.3 and to be honest I'm kind of apprehensive in installing any further patches cause it's just making the folder bigger for a game, I can't play. Nevertheless, I'll try installing 3.3.11 and 3.3.11.2 and let you know. 9 hours ago, IssamRocks said: follow these steps carefully. 4)once the game is installed, download the latest patch 3.3.11.2.when you are done download the HOODLUM 1.0 US crack and paste it over the game where snapshot 3.3.11 has been installed.now launch the game. let us know if your issue is fixed Edit: Okay I tried installing 3.3.11 using the installer then installed the patch 3.3.11.2 on a fresh copy. The game still crashes at the splash screen/getting the Runtime error. Edited September 25, 2019 by Intelligent Hoodlum
