universetwisters 34,522
Because it's named after some record company/band, like most radio stations in CTW are. JamesDan, Duhillestpunk, DownInThePMs and 4 others
AmigaMix 419
Stuff like this irritates me. When references to real places, people etc. where a more common occurrence in GTA (e.g. Reagan, New York, Mississippi) everything was fine and dandy, then R* dialed it down immensely with IV (e.g. renaming every single government agency - what ?), making things such as the one OP mentioned seem really... odd universetwisters, m3ssO, Ivan1997GTA and 2 others
universetwisters 34,522
I mean considering that Phil Collins himself made an appearance in VCS I think people are fair game DimitriFaustin

Something to do with the FBI and the hot coffee content.

It's like Rockstar forcing Tupac from the dead and telling him to replace the words "Los Angeles" to "Los Santos" and "California" to "San Andreas" Rockstar got the songs on Massive B rerecorded though to mention Liberty City boroughs and sh*t, but then some of the tracks they had specifically made for IV on The Beat mentioned real life NYC locations and brands. It pisses me off, they're willing to do X to make their fictional universe more realistic, but god forbid they do Y to keep it consistent. Want a Tupac track ingame yet it mentions Los Angeles? Simple; don't include it in the game. Is the game any worse off without it than it would be with it?

The "feds" are quite often portrayed as overbearing bullies in the american entertainment industry (not without reason), why would R* shy away from doing so?
