...just had a thought, which might help: might be worth finding pics/videos of all the presets from before and after the beta, to compare them.

 

Specifically, I don't think there are many (if any) videos showing all the options post-beta - all the examples I can find are from launch. It'd probably be good to get an equivalent to this:

 

 

 

...but going through all the current options, because that'll give a better idea as to what changes have been made to the old settings.

So.... my character's body type has also changed now. I had the athletic body type for her since beta... it has somehow changed to skinny and I have not even been in the creator since the 2nd day of this issue.

Someone in youtube comments was saying that while you're at the barber, the face is temporarily back to normal. I'm not sure if that's true or not though, and even if it is - I'm sure once you leave it's back to what it is now.

 

There's so much with this update, like the daily streaks being wiped. They really should get the big ones like this and that fixed quickly.

Mine is heritage 11 I think and although I can see a difference it's nothing anywhere near as bad as a lot of others I've seen. Like you said, only slightly winder and the cheeks maybe a bit fuller but nothing that looks crazy. I'm starting to think the change has actually improved her appearance.

No I don't think that's true. After I read about the change I sat my character down at the barbers to see if there was a difference (because it's hard to tell otherwise) and without doing anything else I could see a small difference.

It doesn't. I've been to the barber and I still have wide thick cheekbones and full round cheeks. Both when viewing my toon at the barber and when leaving.

Finally got around to contacting support. Opened a chat and the guy said he would refund the 20 gold I spent (plus another 5 because my daily challenge streak got reset). 

 

Quick question, how do I get the refund? Just close the game and log back in? Does it take time? 

 

I have been in a session with 1 other player for a few hours now and the hunting is good so don't want to leave it just yet.

Close the game completely and restart it. You should see a message that you've been credited with the gold when you restart.

I lost the session I was in because I accepted a challenge by mistake so restarted the game. No message and no gold. But it didn't ask me to choose profile at the menu like usual so I will try clearing cache and try again. 

 

Bit annoyed I forgot to screenshot the support chat, I wonder if they log them? I remember the guy's name at least lol.

When they replied to my ticket they said I had been credited with 10 gold. I didn't see an alert either. So I emailed to ask if they were sure they had credited my account. No reply yet. I don't know if I just didn't get an alert or if they forgot to credit me. Whenever I had been credited in the past there was an alert but maybe that broke in the last update. I did think it was just me but if you didn't get the alert either then it seems more than a coincidence.

Basically, fat ugly ass faces were intentional (or R* don't give a damn) so just re-make your character again.

For what exactly? So it can be fatter or super thin or heckin oblong shaped come the next patch?

Will I be able to customise my character and return their appearance to how they appeared in version 1.11 as seen in the attached screenshot, see image 1.

Currently, I am unable to achieve this appearance since version 1.12. So the hotfix/fix that is referred to, doesn't address my issue.

Honestly it's odd cause that's what I'm used to but they have the ability to push it to you at that moment in game too. The last support chat I had open the guy refunded my 10 GB and they showed up right then and there as I was playing and he then asked if I got them while I was in the game.

I'm afraid there's not gonna be a fix, buddy. This IS their fix. I'm still considering a total rebuild soon....

Just gotta have some faith! But yeah, I'm pretty much sceptical on a proper fix as well. I still have my free edit to use in case they don't bring out a fix though.

I wonder if they did this so full face masks fit properly? Wasn't lucky enough to get the Jason type mask early, but it looks a tight fit..

I was very happy with the way my character looked after changing his appearance, but then I come back a week later, and my character has a fat face now. I went and contacted Rockstar support about my character's appearance, and this is what they had to say:

I've also seen plenty of other players that have skinny/normal faces, and if it what Rockstar is saying is true, then their faces would have been altered as well after the latest update. Honestly, I don't think Rockstar knows what is causing the issue, so they probably won't make a public statement, until they figure it out.

Which is curious, seeing as the three responses I had from R* all say 'it's been fixed' only.... it hasn't.
