Fatsanchez
Im now at Collector lvl 20, Trader lvl 20 and BH lvl 1 (just started it). Also got to level 70 in the Club thing. It was actually really quick. You just have to 1- be unemployed and 2- play for long stretches of time. Then you can 3- profit, but 4- not really because the bills irl just keep on coming. No matter how much you implore to god. Damn Bills. Non Funkable Token, Tasty_Pasta, hotrats773 and 4 others
Non Funkable Token
Collector is a non stop thing, even if you don't look too much into it (lvl 17 here). Trader, meh, lvl 6, hunting near your camp and donating to Cripps gives some speed boost. BH, that's a real grind (lvl 2) at least for me. Before Trader 5 I found Re-Supply Missions the best source of Trader XP. Once you get your hands on a Medium Cart, though, you start making 1000+ XP by completing a single local delivery (plus the cash from the sale). I'm lucky, I get to play during the day when I should be working, but my days of 5-6 hour sessions are over. That being said, I found the Trader and Collector progression a breeze, easily hit rank 20 in both quickly once I got into it. Bounty hunting is a totally different story, but that's mostly down to the bugs, I'm rank 9 at the moment, but would probably be rank 14 or 15 if I'd received the xp from all the missions I've completed. Unless R* fix it quickly I'm either going to have to settle in for a long grind or piggy back off someone who is a higher rank so I can get more xp from the higher level missions they have access to. Like hours a day?" and I want them to be honest. I can get about two or three hours on a good day and that's I can be arsed or I am not watching something on TV and I am level 5 in Trader. People claimed to have level 20 in Trader a few days after the Update dropped. BH take more time to get 20, but collector and trader after lvl 5 are very fast and give lots of regular xp, what makes easy outlaw pass 70. I usually play red dead 1h per day, but rushed 6-7h/day after update, got outlaw pass lvl 70 in 3 days, and all roles on lvl 20 after 5 or 6 days. Now I'm back to work, playing 1h/day. You logged 18 hours in 3 days and that would take me well over a week playing 1-2 hours in the evenings (3 times longer to max the Outlaw Pass)., and to get level 20 in the Roles you logged 30 hours which would take me two weeks at my pace. FrikkenZz
I got 4 kids, but have a sweet work schedule, where I am at work 3 or 4 days in one stretch and then got 7 days off. I also have a loving wife that is ok with me gaming in the evenings after the kids have been put to bed. It dosnt hurt that I often game into the night hours either(with four kids we dont need any more). In the one week I have had to game after this update Ive hit lvl 70 in the pass. And got all roles above 11. And I havent really grinded for xp much. Collector is at rank 16 iirc, and that levels itself. Gained two levels by doing one salvage event for example. Trader and Bounty Hunter isnt hard either, but I got friends which I help doing sales/supply runs with and bounties with more than one target which boosts xp alot. It helps that I have been a gamer my entire life and know how to powerlevel if I want to. I havent done that this update tho. I've just been helping friends and done whatever I wanted. I've done much of what I did before the update, with the only exception that I don't think Ive touched my beloved fishing rod.

Happy Hunter
Bounty Hunter is the slowest to rank up definitely. I had a friend invite me to some of the harder missions that don't unlock early on, that helped me rank up a little faster. These supposedly harder missions are often easier in my opinion anyway, the tracking ones at least. 5 hours ago, RaigeGames said: Just logged in the the first time today and was met with this message. Shadowfennekin
I really feel the "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Outlaw pass is too quick to level" people are taking it for granted. You only leveled it up because there's actually stuff to do! I hope it stays 1k per level, especially if they add more in 'filler updates' like the previous update. The missions weren't filler... but there was only five, and once you did them.... that was pretty much it. Nothing else to do unless you get turned on by shooting other players all day. And sure, right now you may be fascinated with collecting, bounties, and traders.... but that's because it's new! Give it a few months and majority of players will have grown bored, much like we did with Stranger missions, and grinding the same 10 PvE missions we've had forever. Also allows you to take a break and come back without going 'Oh no, it's November and I'm only level 50!'. No worries while you're playing Outer Worlds next month Lonely-Martin and wehweh01

I'll be using the wagon as a bank when I get into my post levelling routine, where I hunt I'll be storing perfect Whitetail Buck carcasses along with perfect medium pelts from any subsequent Buck, deer and sheep, then selling it all when full, with a few easy fish sale runs mixed in. I know keeping the Trader business going would be more profitable than selling to the butcher, but I'm planning to mix my hunting with metal detector Collector searching as it fits my play style better. Shadowfennekin
I'm going to try and balance both Hunting and Trading after maxing everything out.... which may take awhile as Bounty hunter won't stop glitching out..... I don't normally do the 'sit around and wait for last 30 seconds' crap, but I'm doing it because I am sick of that glitch cheating me of XP Trader is 12 Collector 11 Bounty Hunter.... 6 lol Aside from the glitch, there's no big XP dump like Trader has Selling missions and each supply bag is 600 XP.... if you have four people, that's almost a full level! And finishing a collection nets you a lot of Collector XP. Whenever I notice a collection 5 or less short of being complete, I go ahead and pull up a video so I can finish it and get that delicious XP. Now that I got a wagon, it's easier and quicker to fill up my material bar to the max. So I can comfortably put more time into Bounty hunting and try to let it catch up. I really want that eyepatch so my bounty hunter look is complete Start Bounty Sit outside destination with bounty while playing Marvel Strike Force. Wait until last 30 seconds for maximum XP and some extra money. The XP is the main point here, money and gold is just a bonus! I'm going to retire from bounty and collecting, until a 50% extra or maybe even a double money event at least, once they reach 20. Bounty hunting is fun.... but repetitive and not a high payout rate. I'd love to hunt players... but nobody has a $20 bounty lol, only griefers do
kjahcleveland
At least the legendary bounties are a reason to hunt bounties again. Now that I’m 20 in all 3 roles I just hunt bison for cripps and make $625 long distance sales all the time while picking up collector items on the side, it’s pretty nice.
