Jason
The sequel is, supposedly, a musical w/ Lady Gaga starring. I never felt the first film was particularly good outside of Phoenix's performance, and the story never went anywhere in the end so I really have no idea why a sequel even needs to exist outside of, ya'know, money. I thought before seeing the film that you can't do Joker without Batman and the film didn't change my mind on that, if they do a sequel and still don't have him but instead do a musical starring what I presume would be Gaga playing Quinn then it'd just be a bizarre use of these characters. Mr. Galloway
There was no need for a sequel, tbh. Ivan1997GTA and -l-

Basically we follow the psychiatrist's perspective as she descends into madness for interacting with Arthur in the asylum. Promising idea, but I doubt the real sequel will be about that. Well, it's confirmed now. Who knows if the sequel will be menacing as Sweeney Todd.
Creed Bratton
The sequel just cheapens the original IMO. Not every movie about comic book characters needs a sequel.

Jason
I still don't think Joker w/o the Batman worked and I've got no reason to think Joker and Quinn without the Batman will work any better. The whole rumoured musical aspect is different and all, and they're two good actors, but to the first one felt like it used the Joker name and IP for no other reason than to get people in seats and this doesn't sound any different so far.
