I want more of this world

Don't get me wrong. I get what you're saying, but I think we should be looking at this as more of a Team Bondi game and less of a R* game. I don't mean to say it's an excuse, but it's valid point nonetheless. it has very little of traditional R* in it and to me atleast I see LA Noire as a very location dependent type of game where it focuses more on key locations relevant to the story than a "living, breathing" world like in the GTA and Red Dead series,

 

I made the mistake playing it for the first time trying to explore between missions when I realised they created a whole separate mode for that. Although I will concede it's annoying in story mode when you get calls over the radio for street crimes.

 

Anyway I've spent hours exploring the L.A in LA Noire and it's just a very different type of experience IMO. I treat the city more as a backdrop (a bit like Empire Bay in Mafia II) than something I would sink my teeth into like RDR2 for oozing over every single little detail.

I like LA Noire very much but for me the question is why when (they obviously investing so much time and effort) creating a huge city didn’t the make more stuff to do in, especially after the story?

 

I really think R* should create more stories for their cities. Perhaps the best way to do it is have ones where they can be both multiplayer co-op or single player experiences. That way they don’t worry about alienating either SP or MP fans. But I think in general, they’re not making enough out of them.

 

On a different note, does that title of the thread make anyone think of Delores from Westworld (maybe the OPs intention)?

 

At any rate, yes I want more.
