No longer earning Role XP (Bounty Hunter)

I could stand it, but honestly, I'm nowhere near consistent enough to grind the 5*. I've completed it solo 3 times now and there were lots, and lots, of deaths and mission restarts.

 

I'm going to keep going back to it though, because even if it takes me an hour to get a clean run it's better than the hit and miss freeroam xp.

 What did work for me:  Minty & Thyme Big Game, Any kind of HP & deadeye tonics, BEST TRIED DURING DAYTIME ( can't stress that one enough) Bring your Bolt action & express ammo + PIB (makes headshots so much easier), get behind cover, change cover often, tag snipers first if you can see 'em. & Don't be afraid of your tonics. Don't  stress out over killing a bounty, they'd happily p*** in your grave,  Best of luck!

Thank you for contacting Rockstar Support.

We are sorry to hear that you are facing issues with missing XP for Bounty Hunter missions in Red Dead Online.

A workaround that has helped many players is to not touch any controls for five seconds after accepting a Bounty mission. 

Please try to avoid pushing any buttons, moving or even panning the camera for five seconds after accepting a Bounty mission to avoid the fade to a black screen.

Should you receive a black screen regardless, you may also notice that all other players have been dropped from your session. Please switch sessions and proceed with your mission.

 

 

I've not yet tried this, but switching sessions, reloading the game, hard resets/cache clearing do not help. I've only got to rank 6 through Legendary bounties and being a member in someone else's posse.

I'm not happy that they offered no XP compensation. I was rank 20 on the other two roles in no time, but still at 6 on this one.

They may have fixed it.  I’ve had 3 in a row without the black screen of role experience death, from startup.... nevermind, luck ran out.

not fixed, I dont get any black screen all is good till payout i only get gold nothing else

The same people that insisted that clearing your cache would solve all of GTA's connection issues?

Don't believe everything they try to palm you off with.

Again. This didnt work. Is the bugged lobby. Just change lobby until you didnt get a black screen. Then you can play all the missions you want in the same lobby. You can push all the buttons and f*ck the controler if you want xD

Doesnt really work like that ive had no black screens in BH all works fine till payout time and all i get is gold no cash no xp of either type/role

I didn't say that it was foolproof. Just that it seemed to help. R* and other players seems to agree. I've had the most consecutive bounties that way. The bugged lobby thing is incorrect. I've completed a bounty, waited a few minutes, then gone to launch another bounty in the same lobby, and gotten the black screen. Five consecutive times after quitting to story mode after each black screen. It's all a sh*tshow.
