I did a hard reset on my console and did a 2nd bounty as part of my posse, then another solo, and have not recieved any XP towards the role. Anyone else having this issue? They also updated PS4 tunables but kept the Xbox One same so I guess that's to do with PS4 related issue ? Even when I joined in LeMoyne and fast travelled to New Austin. Then after completing the mission in a solo lobby, it put me in a full lobby. Next bounty.... puts me in a solo lobby with 0xp and $0 reward. I must be owed about 100-200 cash and 500-1000 bounty xp by now. Fortunately I didn't run into issues with trader or collector so I'll just work on replenishing the money I've spent this update for awhile. Pelorus_ Posted September 16, 2019 Share Posted September 16, 2019 I wanna love this game but I've now done 65 bounties (alive) and 10 bounties (dead) within the time limit and I'm only level 5. Apparently when you get the black loading screen after choosing a bounty, it throws you into a new session therefore making that bounty rewardless (despite a 0.16 Gold reward), This is super irritating and I hope Rockstar sort this out soon, and compensate us who've been sweating this without reward. ONLY ONE MISSION WOULD START PROPERLY TODAY. Out of almost a dozen tries over the course of the day, restarting the game every time, & only at the end of the my rope did a mission finally start. Spent a good portion of the time hunting instead, even though it's the Bounty Hunter role I was most excited for. Got my Trader to rank 10, FFS. I wanted my Bounty Hunting to roll up that fast. >.< R* IS aware of the problem, but that doesn't really tell us much except that they know. As a reward, I get .18 gold bars, no cash, and no xp... Today was no different. Out of desperation, I tried something different. I quit the game and joined a new session. I picked my bounty as usual, then I waited. I DID NOT touch the controller while I waited. I didn't move away from the board, I didn't mount my horse, and I didn't pull up my weapon wheel. I did nothing. And I launched five bounties in a row with no issues. I got gold, cash, and XP each time... Could have been a fluke, but I aim to try it again tomorrow. If you start the bounty mission as posse leader or you play solo then the black screen comes out, you are the only person that will not get the full rewards except gold bars. But for your posse member they will get full rewards. I seem to get the black screen less if I don't give any inputs before the mission starts, but it doesn't completely eliminate it. I submitted a ticket to R* Support and here's their response : Hello *******, Thank you for contacting Rockstar Support. We are sorry to hear that you are facing issues with missing XP for Bounty Hunter missions in Red Dead Online. A workaround that has helped many players is to not touch any controls for five seconds after accepting a Bounty mission. Please try to avoid pushing any buttons, moving or even panning the camera for five seconds after accepting a Bounty mission to avoid the fade to a black screen. Should you receive a black screen regardless, you may also notice that all other players have been dropped from your session. Please switch sessions and proceed with your mission. I've not yet tried this, but switching sessions, reloading the game, hard resets/cache clearing do not help. I've only got to rank 6 through Legendary bounties and being a member in someone else's posse. I'm not happy that they offered no XP compensation. The first bounty mission I start always gets the blackscreen, no xp bug, every time. After that, when I'm in the solo lobby the bug creates, bounties work, but only until the lobby repopulates, after that the bug returns. On a good day I might get over an hour of missions working, on a bad day the lobby repopulates so quickly I can't get a single mission to work. If you can stand it, grind the 5 star for a couple of days, try it different ways, different approaches & weapons. It always starts up, & the xp & lootables are decent enough to make it worth multiple runs It's how I managed to max Bounty Hunter so fast, mixed in with the odd working mission, & the all too few free roam events.
