ivarblaauw
So well... I went online and I directly noticed that it took longer to ride from Tall Trees' edge to Blackwater. Now I thought it was just me, until two of my friends sent me a message with more or less the same statement/question: the map felt bigger and riding to locations took longer. Now the question for you lot: is this a simple weird correlation or is the map indeed larger (or do we walk/ride slower?)? Let me know, since this is driving me crazy Edited September 10, 2019 by ivarblaauw DentureDynamite
Tormes
First impression i got was that the horse at full gallop is slower. DentureDynamite, jje1000, Tasty_Pasta and 3 others

DentureDynamite
My guess is R* are trying to pressure more players to spend more for Fast Travel, especially now that you can no longer spawn into New Austin or Ambarino. <-- Incorrect info from another user here on the forums. My apologies! This whole philosophy of pushing monetization is really getting on my nerves, making my purchase of a PC version less likely than ever, and playing RDO even less. I feel they are on par with Story mode now Glad that I am at least not the only one who noticed a change of somesort. But well...? Map bigger? Characters smaller? Horses slower? At least the game feels much bigger, which is a big plus imo MrRyanMcCall

At least for me an hour ago. Although some people reported soon after the release that only 3 were available. Probably fixed that over the day. I doubt they scaled the map, but I recently timed the distance of the Lemoyne Swamp, so I will try it again asap Chrismads and MrRyanMcCall
Red Lynx 23
Considering the space between different search locations for Madame Azar's maps, and yes daily challenges, I have been fast traveling a lot. That is some of the money I started spending all willy nilly. Yet, I still have a thousand more dollars than I started with on Tuesday. Xtf
Cores seem to be draining faster but that might just be that I'm spending more time in free roam. I get that some people are adamantly opposed the game companies putting things behind paywalls, however making up crazy ideas just so they can bring up their opinion again is beyond ridiculous. I look around and I certainly don't see handcuffs on anybody. They give us the option. ...put into the pot if you like. ...or put in some effort. I've seen far greater restrictions then the ones in this game. I just don't see how someone can't take 5 minutes out of there life to grind themselves some gold, especially if they are adamantly opposed to the idea of paying for it. At that point all I can say is perhaps this isn't the game for them. Well what makes less sense is the claim that rockstar are making people fast travel more so they can get people to spend more money on the game when you can't even buy in-game money with real money. You can only spend money on gold and you don't spend that to fast travel. But the map isn't larger anyway. And horses don't run slower now either. It just feels that way in some people's imagination. Gray-Hand
The code doesn’t allow them to just scale up the map without basically recreating it from scratch. Any moron who knows the most basic stuff behind game design knows that. Map is the same size, but our characters are 8.5% smaller.

I do a LOT of shooting and it takes a lot more than 5 shots for it to get down to halfway on my guns. 5 shots moves the meter down maybe 1/10 of the way. I do a lot of shooting at enemy camps and camp rescues and it gets to about 1/4 of the way down. That's about 20 shots. You have wrap on yours?
