Recommended Posts

Hello there Peoples!
Rockstar has introduced new activities for us to break down and figure out. So let the spread sheeting commence!

There are bound to be a bunch of questions and one of the best ways to answer them is to combine our information and results. The basic information we want is:

  • Requirements for each path
  • Unlocks
  • Payouts
  • Activities

What we know so far:

  • Each role has 20 ranks
  • Each rank takes 2,000 Role XP to progress
  • Every 5 levels there is a new Tier (1-5 Novice, 6-10 Promising, 11-15 Established and 16-20 Distinguished)
  • Progressing through the ranks requires Role XP
  • Role XP is earned by doing role specific activities (i.e. finding a collectible earns Collector XP)
  • Upon acquiring a new rank, Role Tokens will be awarded
  • Role Tokens are used for acquiring role specific items.

So if you find a stray dog, follow it. It lead me to a lock box with a collectible in it.

I want to test if the collectibles are all in the same location or if it is randomized. Has anybody found any yet?

So for example:
At this location is a busted oil pump and red wagon. On the left rear corner is the King of Wands for me. Is it the same for everybody else?

Yup, seems the drops are static, I wonder if things change around the map or do they respawn after 24 hours like the jewellry? If so, id recommend to not buy maps from madame nazeer or whatever her name is

Yeah, wondering the same. If static then for most people it will just become a "follow the guide" type of situation. If random, well, then it's time to explore!

Yes I also randomly found a card there, I can't recall 100% what card it was though.

Anyone else found a rare tonic in Braithwaite Manor?

I don’t get it at all. It seems there are now times where I randomly won’t get all rewards even when bringing people in alive when Bounty Hunting. Twice in a row I’ve gotten no cash and no xp, only gold.

I know sometimes it just won't show the rewards. Is this what is happening? Could you keep an eye on your total cash amount before and after? It would be good to know if this is a bug or not.

I can’t say for sure, but the problem might be caused when I move too far from the bounty board after initiating. It sometimes moves me into a personal lobby and only gives me gold for the reward. It hasn’t happened again since I started waiting for the mission to start.

So it seems that each item has a fixed location. This is both good and bad. Good because it means that it will be easy to find and we won't have to worry about buying the maps. Bad because that means somebody is going to have to catalog all 164+ locations.

Yesterday i found a different card in the same area I found another card the day before. So it is a bit random. It is random where certain cards spawn, so you can not look for one card specifically. But there are certain places where certain items spawn from time to time in slightly different spots.

So no worries, it's not as static like the Playing Cards in GTAO.

Okay so after a number of attempts, I feel comfortable saying that if the game (for whatever reason) moves you to a private lobby for a bounty, you won’t get XP or cash for the mission, only gold. I don’t know why this happens or why the rewards are reduced. Bounties are extremely buggy right now.

This is not 100% I have gotten my XP and cash from bounties after being put into a private session (aka, Mission will begin shortly). I have also not gotten XP and cash from bounties starting up normally. This is very subjective.

Are you certain? Whenever the screen fades to black and sets the mission that way, I only ever get gold. I felt sure about this, but I’ll keep watching to see if it happens to me differently.

110% I saw this posted before in a different thread and right after I read it, I got a hunt that did the load... got all the rewards. However 2 hours ago I got the opposite result that ended with only gold gain... but like I said, I have also had it where it functions properly. This is very buggy (sadly it feels BH is the most bugged) but is not the worst thing that could happen.

Ah, that’s weird. For me, I absolutely can’t get it to give me xp or cash when it does the private lobby. Only in public do I get the full rewards.
