People do get the same spawns, basically all the card locations yesterday were for everyone. I just don't think they spawn in the same spots every day, or there's a long cooldown (48 hour+).

I went to the barn and the gazebos as mentioned in the first post along with inside the house and there were no collectables anywhere. I couldn't even find the flower in the location the map i was using said to look so that would be pretty weak if the game is just going to send you looking around for nothing because somebody already took the collectable, especially if it isn't even tied to the session you are in.

I was going to places where people said there was stuff and finding it everytime. Must be something more to it.

This has always been the case for me, from time to time. What I do is I just bring the map out of the satchel again, and the second time it always works. Never had to restart the game.

 

My question: Are we seriously meant to go look for this starchild hippie everyday and just hope we happen to come across her???

Just met the goodest boy who kindly led me to a bottle of absinthe in Bolger Blade. At first I didn't think the collector role would be for me but I'm really enjoying myself exploring the world

It’s the only 100% lonewolf PvP free role and this is what I’ll be doing for as long as it’s fun. I accidently started up the Trader’s role (who can resist a 0 gold offer), but Cripps can suck it. I’ll be collecting!

Also, I found two items in the cabin from RDR1 in Manzanita Post: a bottle and card.

Going from point of interest to point of interest (towns, camps, houses, any sort of sign of civilisation basically). Once you hit level 5 get a metal detector and do the same except have the detector out while travelling from location to location. The metal detector is where the exp comes from.

My favourite part about it is that it's so unrestricted. Unlike Trader and BH where you're basically locked into the missions when you're doing them (to a degree), Collector is basically do what you want. Hideouts and events are all over and good exp for the pass + chances of maps etc.

Has anyone had to find the tarot card at Manzanita Post? Can’t find it anywhere, searched the shack and found the bottle but no card.

Struggling to find this. There's a small fence just behind the post office, walked around it, nothing there.

 

How does it work, do you auto equip your shovel if you come across an item? Does your controller vibrate?

Two of them can be found without it 100%, the arrow idk. The metal detector is by far the best purchase you can make this update though.

What's the best way to grind up to the metal detector?

I find it a bit odd that folk are stumbling across 2 of these sacred items, across the entire map, without a metal detector or map to guide them.

Kudos to those who've found them though.

 

Hopefully selling the collection is worth it!

Idk, I did maybe 2 or 3 levels using the maps you can buy cause I didn't really have a clue what I was doing, after that I just did some exploring and found a bunch of stuff in houses plus the odd digsite. Knowing the map well helps, stuff like tarot cards, bottles and heirlooms almost all placed directly on top of something, with some maybe on the floor next to them.

 

Also re: sets. You get a fat exp bonus for completing one along with the cash. 1000 exp per set completed, or 1250 if you have the pass.

I unlocked the shovel with a rank-token and it says I can buy it now at Madam Nazar's wagon, but how do I know where she is?

Having a hell of a time trying to find that first wild flower from the Miscellaneous map she gives you, out in Great Plains. Anyone got a pinpoint? I did the first to no issue, right now I am not getting any vibration or sound clues.
