I am wondering if the spawns change daily, wouldn't surprise me if they did to encourage exploration rather than playing connect the dots on the map.

I went to the manor this morning and aside from the usual suspects i.e. gin and ciggies could find no collectables, just my sodding luck! 

 

Considering Madam whatsherface is desperate to get her mitts on our goodies you think she'd give us some sort of clue where she has buggered off to next, but hey R* logic get you every time.

The maps only go so far. You'll have to find it in the world - the maps are completely optional.

If anyone here already have the divination skill: does it make you "sense" collectables from a greater distance or what? The page only tells me that I can now feel a twitch when something interesting is nearby, but it was already like that without the skill, is it like a boost to it? Would love to know if anyone here know more about this

First things first, buy a shovel. 1-5 will be slow, either farm maps or just go around points of interest (towns, ranches, etc) finding tarot cards and uncovered dig sites. Then at level 5 buy the metal detector.

 

Then do exactly the same except stay off road as much as possible and just zoom around with your metal detector out. You'll find tons of stuff, you can find enough stuff to level up from 0-2000 exp in like 20 minutes with good luck.

alright cool yeah i picked the shovel up and that like tripled the rate i was finding stuff which is pretty sick. good to know it gets even better with the metal detector

 

i think i just stroll too slow for early xp gains lol it'll pick up

You run into dynamic events and hideouts along the way as well. It's a nice chilled way to play, exactly what I wanted from the role tbh. I'd love them to take it a step further and add SP style treasure maps, I loved those.

 

Waiting for an invite into the events for it as I've not touched one of those yet. I heard once is called Scavenge but I'm yet to get an invite.

This event is a freakin collector paradise! I dont want to spoil what mine was about, but let me tell you I was finding a lot of collectables, and these were not only for the event, all of them are mine to keep, hell I even found one item for the weekly list!

Hope you all get invited soon, it was probably the best free roam event Ive seen so far even aside from all the goodies

Or is it ok to just sell whenever you have the chance?

You get more by selling the set.

Yea I got an invite to one, I didn't do great but you can definitely rake in tons of collectables from what I saw.

You don't. You automatically equip it to dig.

Yeah fair enough. Strictly speaking he should have said "In Rhodes, just to the WEST of Trelawney".

It's in the caravan to Trelawney's left if you're looking at him from his steps/face on.
