At that time there were also issues with the camp disappearing or never even appearing after picking a campsite location, but I noticed that when I reformed my posse these issues were gone...

I gave it an hour and managed to sell what I had finally, lol. But it's all packed up now and I think it'll stay there. But thanks for the info and if I start it up again, I'll look into that as I quit my posse after getting the trophy and realising I'm more keen to lone play this game (with a sprinkling of co-op ofc). :)

Where are all the animals? My camp is in Cumberland Forest and after 20 minutes of hunting I have 2 turkeys and a raccoon.  If I'm making a delivery deer are frolicking all over the damn place,  but when I'm hunting I can't find sh*t.

My experience since the update is that when I'm hunting them the numbers are few but when I'm working a delivery I have to maneuver my cart to keep from running them over.

 

Edit: I just pretty much repeated what you said cuz I only read your 1st sentence but yeah agree 100%.

It's 5 large and 10 medium carcasses. Best part of the wagon is it's inventory is SAVED! You can:

 

1. Kill a 3* animal

2. Dismiss your horse and call the wagon

3. Put the carcass in the wagon

4. Dismiss the wagon and call your horse

5. Repeat steps 1 - 4

 

If you turn the game off, change sessions or get disconnected from the Rockstar Server everything in your wagon will still be there the next time you call for it! That alone makes the Hunting Wagon 100% worth it's price. :)

 

(Oh, and items on your horse stay when you dismiss and call it back. You canbyse your wagon + horse to return 6 large carcasses to Cripps)

I'm confused about the camp dog. I bought a dog, and I reached the level (8?) that unlocks canine warning + 2 tokens. Is the warning function activated automatically or do I need to buy it/activate it? Overall, loving the trader role. Thanks guys...

I think this is a big missed opportunity for Rockstar. I would love to have had diversity in the horses you own. For example, needing a draft horse to pull your wagon, a fast horse for racing, and a strong, brave horse for hunting. It could have been a cash grab for Rockstar

Just a few questions I wouldn’t mind clearing up.

 

what level do raids start to happen at your camp?

 

Do you have to buy the medium wagon before you can buy the large wagon?

 

If I buy the large 100 unit wagon am I then forced to use it or can I still use the small 25 unit wagon if I want?

 

25 perfect deer carcasses to fill 100 units seems like a bit of a chore, how many 1 star carcasses does it take to fill 100 units?

 

once camp raids start is the dog actually worth it?

This is odd, because I experienced the exact same thing. I couldn't find a single animal. And 3 mins later I went to do a supply run, There was at least 6 Deer, 3 squirrels and 3 rabbits. Pretty sure there was some Bison around too. Supply over.. Not a single animal to be found again. :(

On another note, I finally got to rank 5! Got my medium wagon as well, and now I've got $120 ready to sell tomorrow when I get on. Also got the Trader theme and the camp looks so much better. Love all the little oddities around the tent. 

 

 

But alas, with all fun stuff, comes a total annoying AF thing...

Also I don’t have the stew pot yet but I saw there are rewards for making stew, how many stews can you make at one time? Is it like the camp fire where you can cook as much meat as you have? 

 

Is is this a viable way to grind some xp if it’s the case?

That number is wrong. I don't know where you are getting it from. A perfect Deer carcase has a Material Value Index of 7. This means that it would take 14.29 to have a total value of 100. Or 28.58 for 200.

Also, the "stars" are not what dictate value. Each animal has it's own unique value.

I do not know, but why would you want to deliver only 25 units? The price per unit goes up the more units you sell in one delivery.

You shouldn't just go after 3 star deer. Rabbits, quail, squirrels and big birds are all worth donating. Refilling mats doesn't even take 1 hour for me.

No. For 1 unit of Goods it takes 2 units of Materials. The bar only fills to 100. So to completely fill up your goods bar, you will need a total of 200 Material Value Units.

25 Goods takes 50 Material Value Units and 1 Full bar of Supplies. 

50 Goods takes 100 Material Value Units and 2 Full bar of Supplies. 

100 Goods takes 200 Material Value Units and 4 Full bar of Supplies.

I got a question. 

Is your tradingg company only meant to produce goods while in free roam?

So not while doing missions or showdowns?

Does it produce while doing free roam events and stranger missions?

Is there any qualitative difference between the dog breeds? I went with a Foxhound just based on looks but scrolling through the list again tonight I noticed the other breeds are more expensive, are they better guards or something or is it just an arbitrary price hike?

A 3* Cougar gives more materials than a 3* Whitetail Buck. With the bonus it's ~12 Back vs ~16 Cougar. (I don't recal the exact amount off the top if my head) I've been using my Hunting Wagon as a 3* Cougar storage and using them to refill materials after a resupply mission.

Yesterday i logged in and I noticed my camp was at Little Creek River near the gang hideout there. This location is by far the best I ever had. Animals spawn within walking distance, so mostly I walked back to my camp carrying a doe while the back of my horse was fully loaded. 

 

The supply missions were located at Wallace Station or at the road from Owanjila. And the near sell missions were located at Wallace Station and Riggs Station, surprisingly none to Strawberry.

 

I went from trader rank 2 to trader rank 4 and even did the Trader freeroam event where you have to protect supplies on a train...

 

Mostly all sell missions I stayed in Defense mode but a couple of times I was put in Offense mode, also my camp flag lowered at the start of those missions, is that because I made more product than my  small delivery wagon can hold (so while delivering there are products at the butchers table) ???

Every item/ability from the top line inside the role menu is activated automatically wihtout the need to spend money or anything else.

 

Items from both bottom lines (the ones that are to unlock with tokens) you have to spend money for and to buy them (e.g. horse lantern can be purchased at a stable)

I've had no luck finding out of they have any differences.  It could be cosmetic?

I'm pretty sure, otherwise they would have certain stats like warning or defending ability i guess.

 

Cool thing i noticed:

Altough Sam (my retriever) doesn't know how to warn, he started to growl as soon as a random player fired his gun near my camp

Cannot agree with this more.

When I am delivering Bounties I have herds, HERDS I SAY, of Deer frolicking around me. Literal herds following me but when its hunting time nada. Same with random events when I have a pelt on my Horse.

The past few days the animal spawners have been dialed up crazy.  Like rabbits everywhere and larger animals constantly fleeing.

 

Today though, it was a freaking ghost town.  I even restarted for a new connection instance.

 

Rockstar must be messing with some levers.
