As I'm a low rank at this still, how much should I sell solo to be sure of lone wolf friendly sales?

(In the same way bikers is 1.5 bars of product to be sure of 1 vehicle).

I don't wanna fill up and be left with 4 post op vans, lol.

I think it's different here. You can't spawn more than 1 cart per mission, as far as i know.

Also, in order to carry more than 25, u need to buy the bigger carts.

You have carts that can carry 25, 50 or 100 goods.

If you have between 25-49 goods, you will use the small cart, that can carry 25.

If you have more between 50-99, you will use the medium cart, and if u have 100, the big one.

If you just do the local delivery it doesn't matter how much you sell. Only long distance is pvp

You have a small delivery wagon till level 5 so you can sell 25 products. Friendly sales?

I did some, but local delivery only lol

I saw that defensive remains for near sales, That's pretty cool. Definitely my plan, though this is a 'little/now and then' business for me.

Thanks for the info though guys. Bit like the nightclub with needing the bigger wagons to sell more, cool. :)

Is the exp for long delivery more than local? Seems to be 1000-1200 for local.

You get more XP for distance sales as well as using the medium or large delivery wagon. You make the most XP for doing a distant sale with the large delivery wagon of 100 wares.

EDIT: Yesterday I found out that helping other people is actually very profitable. If you are a lower rank Trader, it is more profitable and efficient if you can help higher level traders. Because if they already have the larger wagons, you get more XP for helping them instead of you doing your own deliveries with the small wagon. You also get good money. Yesterday I helped someone doing a distant sale with a medium delivery wagon. I don't know how many wares he sold, but it was at least 50. At the end I got almost 700 role XP and 75$. That's only 3$ less then doing my far sale in the small wagon but double the amount of XP.

If you help others out you rank up faster, then you can unlock the large delivery wagon faster. This means you made more money more consistently and you didn't waste your own wares. Obviously you need to sell them from time to time if they are at 100, to do supply missions for XP.

All in all helping others is really, really good.

Medium wagon is 1500-1600 long distance. With the 25% bonus xp

Hmmm, that's nice. Not sure I want the added tension though. :D

No not worth it if you ask me.

Btw just did a short medium delivery. Got 1250 trader xp + 650 trader xp. Don't know what the 650 was for, but I'm not complaining

It is really worth it to find some other friendly traders. Either do it ingame, do it in this forum, invite friends. But if none of these work for you, do what I do: Just go to the discord of some RDO YouTubers (The Last Dead Eye for example) and ask for help and say you will help too. It works for me ^^

EDIT: The added tension makes it more exciting, it's also more enjoyable with other people.

Also, it doesn't seem that running down the clock has any xp gains from what I've seen...?

No ;)

Running down the clock is the worst thing you can do with any of the roles. You get nothing out of it, it is a waste of time. Only with the Bounty Hunter you get a few gold nuggets more, but definitely not worth it! Do them as fast as possible, it's more fun and more efficient too^^

Did a short distance delivery last night, not even a full 25 units, set of and halfway was attacked by 4 mounted npc bandits, they caught me off guard and killed me, I respawned just a short distance away shot them all and continued the delivery, no penalties were given, out of the 5 deliveries I have done so far this is the 1st time I have been attacked, dont know if it was a scripted attack or an overlapping freemode random attack like you get when your just riding along and they ambush you.

Anyone else had trouble driving your cart through streams even when it's the hi-lighted route?

My wagon went over with one bundle but I was able to pick it up and stow it on the back of my horse. I was helping someone with 4 bundles and the same thing happened. We were able to pick up 2.

Ok I f*cking love the hunting wagon. Can be called/dismissed at any time. Just sold 5 lake sturgeon to butcher.

I think 5 is way to few carcasses. And I was hoping we could use both the wagon and a horse at the same time

I'll take it. It's good enough for me. I'm loving it. We'll likely get better wagons as the roles get expanded upon in future updates.

Haven't tried smaller things yet. It may be like your horse in that it can store a set amount of smaller things aside from the larger. I'll have to test it out.

Is it better to give Cripps carcasses for materials and not break down the animals ?

Yes, don't break them down or skin them. Whole carcasses give you more materials and Cripps doesn't even take some skinned animals. If you are talking about the smaller animals: Breaking them down and spending them gives you more role XP, because you can spend more parts and they give less materials. If you are worried about materials don't break them down.

Look at it this way:

The hunting wagon has a space of 10.

Smaller animals like rabbits take up 1 space.

Bigger animals like deer take up 2 space.

You can mix and match e.g.: 4 deer and 2 rabbits or 8 rabbits and 1 deer etc....

It is more efficient if you store bigger animals like bucks or deers. The next best thing are rabbits, because 2 perfect rabbits give the same amount of materials as a perfect deer. But I recommend hunting in the Heartlands and focusing on perfect buck, deer and rabbit.

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet but on resupplys that require you to get bags the number of bags seems to scale with posse members and the xp is time based like gta missions. if you wait out the time on the bag resupply you get 500 (no pass) or 625 (pass bonus) role XP per bag delivered. our camp location last night only gave bag resupply missions and we were gaining a role rank per resupply or more since we had 4 people thats 2k-2.5k role XP each

You don't need to wait out the timer. I can't stress this enough. You get the same XP if you wait until the last 30 seconds or finish it in the first 2 minutes. But yeah, bag resupply missions with posse members are a great role XP method.

I dunno how long this free fast travel voucher you get from the pass lasts for but it's an absolute joy for Trader. Just grinding deliveries/resupplies for the exp and it's making get back to camp a God send.

I believe every time you get the free fast travel voucher via the Outlaw Pass, you can fast travel for free 5 times.

So now I can break the Trader down for everyone.

You need to be Trader rank 10 to have the large delivery wagon and the ability efficiency to make the most profit and XP. I will use a deer as a reference and I will include the ability efficiency in my calculation, you could also use bucks or rabbits etc..

You need to spend 24 perfect deer carcasses and complete 4 supply missions to produce 100 wares. (Note: First you need to fill up 100 materials with 12 perfect deer carcasses, then you need to do 1 supply mission and after 50 minutes one supply mission again, then repeat, and then you have 100 wares). This whole process takes more than 3 hours and 20 minutes.

You can only sell these 100 wares and make the most profit with a distant sale via the large delivery wagon. Then you can sell all 100 wares for 625$. You basically turned 24 perfect deer carcasses into 625$. Each carcass is indirectly worth ~26$, normally it would be 7$. If you would sell all 24 carcasses to the butcher, you would make 168$. With the trader you can make 3.72x more money than simply selling to the butcher in this case. You would need 90 perfect deer carcasses to make the same amount of money by selling to the butcher.

Thanks for this.  Good to know it'll be a good money maker.  It also appears to be more profitable than the butcher for local deliveries too.
