Jason
The place to discuss all things tradin'. Where to begin: "Your trusted camp companion, Cripps, has long dreamed of starting a trading outpost and you’re going to help him make it happen - by becoming a partner in the fledgling Cripps Trading Company. Combining Cripps’ lifetime of working with animal materials and your skills at hunting and frontier security, you’ll have the perfect ingredients to develop a thriving business. " "An investment of 15 Gold Bars to purchase a Butcher’s Table will get your business up and running" Trader tips: You do not get any exp or cash bonus for waiting down the timer in delivery or resupply missions At level 4 you will gain access to a free mode event called Trade Route. In this event you and other players will defend a moving train carrying cargo. You have one life and cannot be killed by other players. The event takes part in a moving circle so it's best to say on the train. The train will stop at three stops, at each stop you will earn 6 goods for a total of 18. You can leave the event with the goods you've earned at any of the stops. The goods you earn in the event are kept after the event is over. MusicMan05: "Materials + Supplies = Production = Goods Materials: Acquired from donating animal materials (carcasses, bones, feathers, and pelts) to Cripps. The first supply mission Cripps sends you on gives you +50 Materials to get things started Supplies: Acquired by purchasing or doing a supply run If either runs out, production comes to a halt. Without materials Cripps has nothing to process. Without the supplies, Cripps can't process the materials. You can't just buy supplies and let Cripps do his thing, like a GTA Biker Business/Bunker, becuase he'll run out of materials. I haven't tried buying them, but 1 supply run appears be enough for Cripps to process 25 units. Oh, and being a Trader can be profitable as a Posse. When I ran sales with a friend last night, the Posse Member was making a little over 50% of the sale. (If I remember correctly it was Posse Leader = $62.50, Posse Member = $32.50) Meanwhile you can supply Cripps with materials while doing Bounty Hunting. One player in the posse goes after the Bounty, ideally the Posse Leader, while the other player hunts and donates materials to Cripps. The player hunting still gets the GB/$/RXP/XP for completing the Bounty, even if they were in a different region the entire time. The "hunter" can then notify the Posse Leader when Cripps is ready to sell again." executor404: "So now I can break the Trader down for everyone. You need to be Trader rank 10 to have the large delivery wagon and the ability efficiency to make the most profit and XP. I will use a deer as a reference and I will include the abiluty efficiency in my calculation, you could also use bucks or rabbits etc.. You need to spend 24 perfect deer carcasses and complete 4 supply missions to produce 100 wares. (Note: First you need to fill up 100 materials with 12 perfect deer carcasses, then you need to do 1 supply mission and after 50 minutes one supply mission again, then repeat, and then you have 100 wares). This whole process takes more than 3 hours and 20 minutes. You can only sell these 100 wares and make the most profit with a distant sale via the large delivery wagon. Then you can sell all 100 wares for 625$. You basically turned 24 perfect deer carcasses into 625$. Each carcass is indirectly worth ~26$, normally it would be 7$. If you would sell all 24 carcasses to the butcher, you would make 168$. With the trader you can make 3.72x more money than simply selling to the butcher in this case. You would need 90 perfect deer carcasses to make the same amount of money by selling to the butcher." Stupidis
When selling goods. Don't trust the automated plotted route. Managed to get to a way too narrow passage at a cliff. Wagon tipped over. However, tried to shut down the internet connection. And then goods were still full when arriving back at camp. Also, the extra money you get from a long delivery (with a small cart 25 units) does not seem worth it. From Cottora springs to Thieves landing payout was something like 74ish in cash. 30 minutes something in time to deliver. Other players can attack after five. Short delivery is in 15 or so minutes. Payout 62ish in cash. From Wapiti to Bacchus station. LokDog, dieseltech20, Failed Again and 6 others
clinical oppression
so a full small wagon is 25 units and sells local for 62 bucks ....far for 78 . I went far ... that was from bayou to blackwater ....open to attack . Also it appears a flight feather has the same value on material to cripps as a hawk get her ......so looks like I'm only giving him low value feathers and pelts .....not very lucrative so far Leftover Pizza, Xtf and Tasty_Pasta

GazzaRichNUFC
Easy money, brought back the two large animals, plus a couple of chickens, and delivered them for $40, would have been $50 if delivered to a further location. GazzaRichNUFC
Donating feathers doesn't increase the delivery value, all they do is give you 5xp each, or am i missing something? Tez2
I used a timer, it takes 2 minutes for a single Delivery Material to be produced. It will take 50 minutes to produce 25 delivery materials which give you 62.5 dollars for selling near, 78.125 dollars for selling far Each delivery material cost 2.5 dollars, you get 25% bonus for selling distant/far deliveries If we take this into account, you can hold 100 Goods, so a full delivery will give you 250 dollars for selling near, or 312.5 for selling far but a full delivery takes 200 minutes which is 3 hours, 20 minutes to be produced. Thanks for this. I haven't started as a Trader but saw on a stream that you can buy supplies for $20, do you have any idea how many units this makes and it's respective near/far sale value? If it works like GTAO in that holding low amounts of product avoids raids I could be tempted to use this is a low risk slow burner, just doing near sales for a quick, bit small, profit whenever I go back to camp. Tez2
The near delivery sell mission doesn't seem to give notifications to other players that you're selling. In fact, the far sell mission had an icon that says you may encounter rival players, but the near one didn't. I waited like 8/9 minutes and no PvP alert ! Maybe the near sell missions takes more time for PvP alerts ? I doubt it because it doesn't mention that you may encounter rival players. So this is big news, short deliveries make some good money and no PvP alert. Edited September 10, 2019 by Fun 2 ALifeOfMisery, Waldbear, Rev.
