What locks on *to players* and what doesn't

So, the Akula missiles don't lock on to players on foot. Sucks, because the chopper outside of being able to stay off the radar, isn't worth it otherwise when everyone else can use practically anything and everything else to troll with literally no penalty or skill involved.

 

So my question is what vehicles allow lock on to players *on foot* and what doesn't, other than the Oppressor which I'm not buying under any circumstance. And what jet is able to be bought to where players can't lock on to it, either.  I'm not a troll, and utterly despise it, but being the bigger person ain't worth it anymore.

Missiles don't lock onto players on foot, unless fired by an npc in a mission. (like smuggler's run where you can get spawnkilled by jets)

Most players who will missile bomb you on foot with Oppressor mk2s have practiced free-aiming them. They are not actually locking onto you. I guess you can get pretty good at that if you do it all day, but normal players don't have time for that.

As for jets, most fighter jets from the Smuggler's update (like Pyro, Molotok) and the B-11 Strikeforce can be equipped with chaff, which make you immune to missile lock for a few seconds, or flares, which divert incoming missiles.

Or, if you really want to troll people, buy a Besra. (from elitas travel website) It appears on the map with a jet icon, but is not weaponized, and allows passive mode. It is also one of the best jets for the low flying challenges.

The Akula is really not worthless, just don't go after the opmkll. I think it makes a good surprise bomber just takes some practice.

ODIN, The MKll is a GREAT money grinding tool. Just because you have one doesn't  make you bad. I use mine daily. Have never used it for griefing or trolling others and have made about 500 Million since I got it. Dont count it it out.

Terrorbyte is the only vehicle that is able to lock to players on foot.
