Yea but the most popular game on the planet is probably Fortnite. I'd understand if they were avoiding difficult mechanics so they don't alienate their casual playerbase but all that casual playerbase can aim lol.

I 100% believe the decision to stick with autoaim in GTA and RDR stems from the old fellas at the top who can barely hold a controller. It was almost confirmed as much in one of the recent articles about Rockstar's work culture where someone tried to improve the games combat, which they're now trying to do with this update, but he was basically reprimanded for it.

It is just a sh*tty mechanic period. It does not show skill or talent for taking the time to learn how a gun handles (rather similar to my biggest issue with Battlefield 1, the sweet-spot mechanic with bolt-action rifles). It is only made worse since Rockstar does not want to implement free-aim lobbies and split the player base... sad... splitting scrubs away from the rest is a great idea.

Many just don't care about the gun skills like some do, and many don't have the capacity to play free aim too. I do agree there should be free aim and auto aim lobbies, but feel there's a better way to address this and potentially get success by getting the whole community agreeing more if they feel less insulted by those seeking a different game of it. :)

Thank you! Sadly the eyes are a little messed up. Not to noticeable from afar, but it's seen with closer up shots. If the editor does reset it from the beginning, then I'll probably keep him the same. :)

I saved my sliders somewhere, but even if it's a 'start from scratch' canvas, I'll do it anyway. I'm sure my saved sliders will have a different effect with the more improved creator of late. Mine is still done with the first beta creator.

He needs to de-age a lot and the eyes are wrong. It'll probably cost gold to redesign, but I don't care. 😁

This is also why the game gets so boring so quick in pve.

But in terms of pvp, even with auto aim. The casuals stand no chance because of unlocks and cards.

I'd hate to do hunting and camp defending from horse back, free-aiming. These are things I like to make quick work of and move on. Hideouts too, although I'd have less of a problem doing those free-aim. PvP is far too unbalanced to even consider free-aim for indeed. PvP isn't on my activity list at all, mainly for that reason.

I would love if the game would switch to free aim as standard but that will never happen so all I can hope for is the removal of Lock on and implementation of a regular aim assist type gunplay like most other console shooters or free aim servers.

Wtf does weapon rebalancing to rely less on head shots even mean?

Groin shots install kills?

Pinky toe one shots?

Probably a Varmint nerf.

I'd love to see a 'no lock on' players in any mode, and autoaim on NPC's and animals.

Hopefully the ‘less reliance on headshots’ thing means they’re implementing the more realistic damage from SP. lungshots and throatshots doing dramatic damage, heartshots being instant kills. The bullsh*t tanky health we and NPCs get in online makes PVP a pain. Hopefully this’ll make shotguns actually useful outside of interiors and deadeye too. There’s simply no excuse for buckshot to be worthless past 10 yards, and there’s no excuse for rifle bullets to do more damage than shotgun slugs.

Finally we have a date, we really needed content for this game badly.

The Collector role really interests me, out alone by myself looking for treasure just sounds perfect.
And new ability cards are nice, hopefully that will really mix up the choices of cards we have now.

What is that big white carcass in the back of the hunting wagon in the picture that looks like it is taken in big valley?  Rare animal?

I think more aim bloom. So the aimbot will point your gun in the general direction.

Showdowns are headshot after headshot after headshot. I don't think Fortnite would be so popular if Fortnite had the same aimbot mechanics.

Also the inventory system is really getting on my nerves in pvp. It resets all the time to the default. Before I can re-order it at the start I got already shot.

To make your avatar step over a log in combat is driving me mad. My avatar will more likely get stuck. Same with a horse. It will get stuck with by small stone.

It looks to me like a piece of cloth that goes over the pile of carcasses. The more you bring to the hunting wagon the bigger it gets. That would be a easy way for them to represent it visually.

Just speculation.

I can't help thinking that the trader is a reskin of the MC businesses in gta. I bought the security upgrades for the coke business and I still got raided by the police.

The timing of the raid was always impeccable. Just when I was about to logoff. I had to go on fend off the raid. I called it quits really fast.

It seems you have to compete with other hostile traders or defend against npc raids. I need a gatling gun on that wagon.

That last bit actually made my chuckle a bit....not in a good way either.

I do not mind the autoaim in singleplayer... it feels at home there. You are supposed to be this amazing senior gun in this notorious and deadly gang of outlaws, so it fits. But when you wanna bring competitive into the mix and have player on player action... and refuse to go the route of allowing the choice of free-aim or autoaim, that is where it becomes confusing. Yes, Rockstar is well aware that the competitve (if you even wanna give it that title) modes are the least popular, and they are not going to be focusing on them like in GTA.

My biggest concern is if/when RDR2 comes to PC, will we be restricted to autoaim only there as well? I would hope not... as M&K is my (as well as many other's) preferred method of play. I won't mind using a controller, but I would rather be able to M&K properly without autoaim being a factor.

But more on topic; with Bounty Hunter, why do I have this feeling that it will only be the smallest amount of those who will be willing to take a player bounty in alive? I just have this awkward feeling that regardless of the bonus for bringing them in alive, they are gonna get capped. Or they get capped by a rival bounty hunter... so many questions that intrigue me and make me more curious for this update.

I never got raided with my cocaine warehouse... or any other business venture in GTAO. I have seen it happen to friends... but you do make a decent point. At the same time, I feel that with the dog companion mechanic, it will be more likely that the raids are happening whilst you are preparing the skins and such... unless Rockstar is gonna make this a Lassie situation where your dog will travel from Scarlett Meadows all the way out to Armadillo to warn you of a raid.

Could somebody tell me if the 54 cards in GTA:O are still collectible or was it limited to a certain date?

Most likely. Rockstar's online experiences are vastly based around teamwork and player interaction. Pretty safe bet I'd say.

No, they're still there otherwise they wouldn't tell people to get them if they want free stuff

They sort of have to be, considering hitting someone anywhere else you might as well be tickling them. I just played a Hold Your Own match, and shot someone SIX TIMES and still didn’t kill them. I was running a maxed Winning Streak card, using the Winchester rifle with hollow point rounds. Aim at their head, centred dot and bloom, somehow miss and score a body shot. Do it again. And again. And again. Until finally he noticed someone was flicking spitballs at him, turned around, and incapacitated me in one shot. Hopefully that’s what they intend to fix with this update: making guns actually do some f*cking damage.

I'll finally have something to spend my 450 gold bars on! No info on pricing of other stuff though, 13k saved up but not sure how much I'll need to get all the things I want.

Read the article. It literally says that the posse will share the bounty :)

I love this update. Gives me something to do in the game I want to play so badly. If there hadnt been a gold entry fee or ranks to grind towards this would have been a boring update. As boring as getting a new hat or gun. Gameplay to keep me busy is what I want. Now I already have enough gold to pay for all three entry fees, but have a ps4 and have collected all the cards in gtao so it wont be that high of a price anyway. But even if I had zero gold and was on xbox and not playing gtao, I would have loved this.

Because grinding is something to do. In gta the grind became a chore, but with the gold giveaways in rdo this is not a big problem. Rdo grinds isnt as bad. Grinding to get the things I want and continuing gameplay after that in free roam is exactly what I wanted. Plus every other bonus we get in this update. Like upgraded bags and pouches, gaining something for hunting perfect animals (has been much needed in online, I completed all trapper and camp upgrades because it was so fun feeling go hunting for perfect pelts. That made me feel like a real hunter!), not to mention new outfits stable spots, belt buckles(!!) and more.

Im not a big fan of the trader being a cripps business nor the obvious griefer targets the wagons will be. But I still will love playing it. I dont want pve servers.

But it would be better if we didnt have explosive rounds and dynamite arrows. That way they had to get close to chuck a dynamite or molotove cocktail, which means I had to get them before they got close. Which would have been a good balance in my eyes.

Im probably gonna play all three, mostly for the perks at first, and then Ill see what I like best after that.

The option of being a business owner in a town as a trader or a lawman through the BH role seems like something they talked about as down the line. As a progress when you have done it all from this update. Meaning "summer" update 2020 probably tho 🙄

What are peoples thoughts on being Cripp's little bitch?

Its on purpose now, the player does all the work, pays the start up, does the deliveries and still takes orders from a drunk old man...like a little bitch.

I am finally caught up on this thread and I dont think I've seen anyone talk about this... "If the Bounty Hunter brings the target in alive, they’ll receive an award while the criminal SERVES TIME."... could this mean if we bring a player in alive they could actually have to sit in a jail cell for awhile? This would be cool as sh*t. As long as they cant go afk in there. Make some use of Sissika? That would be too cool

Do you overreact to everything IRL too ?

"Your trusted camp companion, Cripps, has long dreamed of starting a trading outpost and you’re going to help him make it happen - by becoming a partner in the fledgling Cripps Trading Company. Combining Cripps’ lifetime of working with animal materials and your skills at hunting and frontier security, you’ll have the perfect ingredients to develop a thriving business. "

Is what it says.

Of course. if you have a Bounty in GTAO and go AFK the timer stops until you log in next time.
So R* can set the "serve time" to anything from an ingame day to a similar feature of a "Bad sports lobby".

This feature would probably scare some sh*t out of griefers in RDO...

Thus we don't have a need for private lobbies…
The Bounty hunters do their job to maintain the peace amongst the players...
