Havnt played the biker dlc but I was under the impression they delivered the items into a city so much easier for other players to attack?

 

wonder how the trader will actually work since we deliver the items to our camp and then have the option to sell them later. 

 

Since the dog can alert us when our camp is about to be attacked does that mean our camp can only be attacked when we are in it? Can’t imagine us hearing our dogs barking from across the map and a bit weird if we suddenly receive a random alert while out hunting. 

 

I would see one of the key parts of the trader being sorting out camp spawns. Half the time I can’t put a camp where I want to and when I finally do it gets randomly moved. Along with not being able to log out and log back into your camp I can see the trader being a real hassle unless they iron the issues out.

That will never happen. That defeats the whole no risk no reward logic from GTAO. You can't do sh*t unless your in a public lobby.

I highly doubt they'll allow it in this game.

Yeah well, about that. They also said they wouldn't turn this into a GTAO 1898 edition.

My heart wants defensive mode for Trader to allow only npc raiders....that I can handle, but my head thinks R* won't allow that either. What if R* came up with something in the role later that allowed you to usurp Cripps and take over the company completely.......would you do it then?

I could handle the NPC only raiders and think that actually could be fun, in a way. Other players, nope. 

If we would get to kill Cripps at a later stage in the role, with all other conditions Lonewolf friendly, it might be worth it, yes.

lol, I just logged in the game to check on stuff. They couldn't even be bothered to change the daily bonusses and the limited stock items in the catalogue? No tunables?

Agreed players are a nope most likely(Now if my brother is on I might try to play against players). Killing Cripps has to be a mission for the role so we all can get a taste. I'll have my dual shorties ready to blast that head into smithereens and sell the meat chunks through his former company.

I mean it'd have been nice to have them bring back the Morning-Tail Coat for the week or something but why on Earth would you want the bonuses changed for this week?

 

We basically have the GOAT bonuses on right now with 2x daily challenge gold. If you need gold for the update there's no better time to get some. I think the only event that'd be better would be 2x cash on all sales to the butcher lol.

Well, for the trader sell missions, I just don 't upgrade the delivery wagons and start selling locally at first, just to see how it goes. The non-upgraded delivery wagons keeps the total value of the goods in the wagons low and selling close lesses the exposed time out in the open.

 

I don 't think it will be as bad as in GTA, like selling coke with a slow-ass postop-van. The wagons are pretty fast and RDO lacks flying machines with homing missiles. And in RDO right now mostly nobody intervenes with the stranger missions...

 

It's gonna be really exciting, doing those sell mission while being chased by npc' s and maybe another player or two!

Okay, the double gold on dailies is a good one to keep around. It's just the lack of effort on their side that got to me. Perhaps they left the gold bonus in for new players to grab an easy 15 gold bars and start any of the roles. Would make sense. But at least change the weekly new items and give us limited stock on ie, the grizzly bear hat :D

Wtf does weapon rebalancing to rely less on head shots even mean?

 

Groin shots install kills?

It took them a year to release this. Nuff said, but I'm gunna rant anyway.

 

This really just looks like a grindy gimmick to keep us playing. You grind to unlock more tools to help you grind faster. Cheeky, do not fall for this.

 

Really just seems like a steaming pile of junk disguised as candy.

It all honestly sounds great, I just hope there's enough stuff to keep us preoccupied for at least a month or so. Otherwise, we'll be right back in this same boat again. The last update they put out was finished in 2 hours and I was taking my time....

 

Hopefully they fix some of the bugs.....

 

Kind of bummed that they didn't say anything about new PvP maps/playlists or anything on new Online Missions.....

 

The whole "unique" items doesn't appeal to me, mainly because I'm very picky, most of the clothes R* has put out never has a color or design I really like. I usually just deal with it and make the clothes work as best as I can.

Yea you raise a good point. It actually sounds ridiculous when you think about it, hitting heads should be the ideal place to aim for cause it's the hardest to hit. It makes no sense to make body shots more valuable.

 

But then you realise that the improvements to the combat/movement that they're making have nothing to do with the autoaim and the game and it's combat is still being built around that. Making headshots as easy as pressing left trigger and flicking the right stick is easily the worst shooter gameplay on consoles today.

I hope there are a ton of locations for the Collector treasures.  I can see being the intrepid explorer making it to some remote cave or mountaintop and there's ten other blokes standing around with shovels.

About the trader. Any idea if we can set up camp at a FIXED location ? I know exactly where i want my camp. If Cripps continues to move camp - trader is not for me. Any idea about that ?

I wouldn't count on it and not even be surprised if the camp gets packed up. Nor would I be surprised if the camp upkeep costs go up quite a handsome bit.

Pretty sure it'll work the same as it does now. There's no way it  could a fixed location by choice. What if several people wanted the same spot?

like a house in GTAO right ? Everybode can buy the same house, apt. - im not a technical guy. so i dont know if its possible or not.

That's different. It may the same location, but everyone has their own instance of the interior, camps are out in the open.

Houses in GTAO are instanced. Only the entrance is visible in the open world. They can't do the same with RDO camps.

It is just a sh*tty mechanic period. It does not show skill or talent for taking the time to learn how a gun handles (rather similar to my biggest issue with Battlefield 1, the sweet-spot mechanic with bolt-action rifles). It is only made worse since Rockstar does not want to implement free-aim lobbies and split the player base... sad... splitting scrubs away from the rest is a great idea.

 

The only way I can see this being beneficial (in some awkward sense) is if this means that we will see the guns have vastly new reset times from when we fire to how long until we can fire again with 100% accuracy (basically crosshair bloom).

 

Otherwise if body shots become a OHK option... Rockstar has dun goof'd.

 

The post also did not clarify a few things for me.. namely if we are going the collector route, is it gonna be a mad dash to an item, which will then result in a free for all?

I don't think this game is based on skills much, like GTAO. No one needs to be really good to accomplish anything much in this game, which appeals to a much wider aspect of players. Everything is simplified for the players, all low threshold entry.

Idk why they didn't go the route they did with yachts in GTAO... As camps seem to work almost the same way (aside from being able to spawn in the currently).
