Bounty hunters looks cool and trading is no go for after all burned up on GTA biz!!!

Hope they added that we can remove off-hand holsters! I´m more interested in all the small things they added and improved upon!

But biggest hope and concern is all who is up for trading with all disconnects we have now!

Also just a side note to the people scoffing about people not liking the Gold Bar cost. It's not about the Gold Bars, its quite telling that you assume everyone is poor, it's the fact that it should not be locked behind a paywall in the first place. If you are fine with your games becoming more and more MTX orientated then fine, keep bleating but some of us are not.

Not everyone has the time or patience to play the same game every day and grind out hundreds of Gold Bars. Some of us only have a few hours a day to catch up on everything we want to do. By accepting this and laughing at other people you are part of the problem.

15 gold is nothing, everyone playing daily tasks have 500+ gold.

That's a huge update, reminds me gtao:heists

I have just over 200 gold bars right now and I can thank the fact that I didn’t feel the need for a gaudy all gold weapon loadout just so I can look like every one else with that exact same “unique” setup.

Making any gun all gold is at least 30 gold bars right there. Surely there were people that had the sense to realize something ya know a little more worthwhile and costly would come out in the future.

This is by no means a slight to people with all gold loadouts, but don’t spend gold frivalously then be surprised when stuff becomes out of reach in the future.

They aren't all gold or "gaudy". A combination of gold, other metals, dark wood finish and engravings. They are all designed unique to the category of weapon. Its handy going through different activities knowing I'm not going to pull out a varmint if I get attacked, I can see what I'm packing clearly on my back without double checking the wheel. My Bolt Action, repeaters and shotguns all have their own style.

I enjoyed spending time getting them how I like them, I plan on using them for quite a period of time. I don't consider the spending "frivolous". Frivolous varies from person to person. I'm not into big fancy hats or vast wardrobes. People like different things. I'm not surprised, nor did I say I was, that the update is gold heavy, but as I said it doesn't bother me. 30 out of 45 I get for free, the other 15 I'll see if Twitch prime is for me.

I should add I've also built up a decent amount horses and camp upgrades. It hasn't all went on weapons...

But is so easy earn gold even in free roam missions. You just need to wait 10 or 12 min before finish the mission and earn 0.4 gold, few days are enough to get this 15 bars

There are things I'm happy about after reading through the Newswire.

More outfit slots and named outfits are great, as is more stable slots. Increased jewellery sale prices and lootable wagons get a thumbs up from me too.

The big negative for me is the Trader role. Firstly, and most importantly, I do not, and never did, want a rehash of the GTAO Biker businesses. I don't want to deal with camp raids, don't want to have to do the whole resupply missions and near/far public lobby sale sh*te to make money and I really don't want to deal with other players being able to get a perk which allows them to see my sales at a greater distance so they can mosey on over to f*ck with me.

Secondly, even putting all of the above aside, I'm not signing up to be Cripps f*cking lackey. The Cripps Trading Company? F*cking do one R*. Not a chance.

The Collector role is by far the most appealing to me now.

While gold is a paid MTX item you have to admit compared to other games Rockstar throws gold at you non-stop, especially with the increase in reward from missions/showdowns from last update and the multiplier from streaks.

But perhaps I've just played so much that my almost 500 bars just seems normal to me.

Wow good eye lol Wtf are you guys talking about, literally every character in those pictures is wearing their belt like that...except Cripps.

Aye, 100% agree. Bounty Hunter sounds like a ton of fun and some good PvE and optional PvP content but the Collector role sounds like the best of the bunch now.

I feel like they saw the Biker, crates, etc sh*t in GTAO and saw players playing them and thought "oh hey people play this they like this a lot" but the reality is there's no alternatives in that game when it comes to free roam content. If the other two Roles have entirely optional PvP then those two will be the most popular Roles by far.

Also just re: the belts ^ - Those are all new coats so I don't think we'll be doing that with every coat.

R* should give PlayStation players free gold!

They do. Anyone that bought PS+ a few months back get 10 bars a month for however long they bought plus for. I got 80 bars to come yet. 🤣🤣

Though it does suck for non prime Xbox players that don't play GTA:O.

You're right, but that's not the case with coats today, so it's new.

I love it! Awesome stuff here! I've got a character in mind for a collector...I have to delete an account but oh well this sounds great. Lots of new stuff to do, sounds like. Just hope it all works fine.

"It's not about the money, its about sending a message."

Not everyone has time to wait to twelve minutes at the end of the mission to earn the max amount.

Yea, you dont notice it because everyone is doing it. I have also seen no-one talk about the multiple new facial hairs in the screenshots.

Yeah, it's not that hard to earn gold these days, but let's do some maths first:

15/0.4 = 37,5 missions, rounded it's 38

38 missions * 10 minutes of waiting = 380 minutes, a bit more than 6 hours... And that of course if you don't get any random disconnection.

Yes, there are daily challenges, yes there's Twitch Prime, yes there're Showdowns, yes there are event weeks, but what about the returning players, the ones who don't play regularly the game?

RDO is going on the exact same route of GTA Online where you constantly have to play in order to enjoy the updates without spending money in microtransactions.

And I'm saying this with my 60 gold bars ready, so without the need of grinding for the next DLC.

Lotta info to divulge so lots has been glossed over.

For example, no one has noticed that they also confirmed new ability cards.

🧯 might needed when people notice that

Why do you feel you are owed something if you don't play the game on the regular?

Why do you feel people who dont have the time to play the game should be locked off from major parts of the game by arbitrary paywalls? Paywalls that can conveniently be knocked down by spending real world money on MTX's.

My close to nine hundred gold bars are ready. I may even complete that goal by the time the update drops.

"Rival collectors can now steal your loot"  to appear on the screen.

Because, it'd be too easy if that couldn't happen!

Rockstar isn't a charity. They aren't just going to give you endless content updates for nothing in exchange. I like the current system: you play the game a lot = you get basically free access to content updates with no irl money involved. People who don't play the game can buy gold bars through the store, using real money to access the content. The only problem is that, the gold bars cost way too much irl money for them to be worth it. I feel like they are aimed towards rich people. Average dude that plays this game from time to time probably won't get a chance to try out the content: he doesn't have time to grind and the gold bars cost is way too much for an average person, especially in poor countries somewhere in south america, or eastern europe.

Surprisingly, as I had no interest in it previously, the Bounty Hunter role does look like it will offer some fun PvE, and I can ignore any PvP invites, so it's all good from my perspective, I'll definitely be dabbling, see if I can get some fun out of being an honourable, deliver bounties alive type Bounty Hunter.

The Collector role looking like it will be totally PvE if we choose, as I'm sure there will be an option to try and interfere with others somewhere, really appeals to me. Being out in the world searching for items seems like it could be fun and rewarding to me.

I'll probably try to maintain both of those roles over time.

I agree with you on R*s possible reasoning behind how the Trader role is going to work. It's a massive disappointment for me though, I really didn't want to see such a blatant GTAO business rip off in RDO.

That's not me throwing any toys out of my pram, I've just played that game for too many years, I don't find it fun and really don't want to invest any more time in a game going down that route.
