Death Row Gaming
Episodes From 1996 is a DYOM mission pack, based-off the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas storyline. Episodes From 1996 continues 4 years after the events of the original San Andreas story and aims to portray a deatiled & realistic dialog for roleplay experience. Notable characters such as CJ, etc. may not appear during the story as they are not involved in this particular storyline, but may be referenced in-game - much like GTA: EFLC. After the collapse of Big Smoke's drug empire, the Families' influence over drugs, weapons, money and territory in Los Santos was at an all-time high. The Grove Street Families in particular were the most dominant, now having complete control over nearly the entire LS area. Suburbs such as Ganton, Jefferson, and Glen Park remained strictly under Grove Street control whilst sharing territories with other Families sets, such as the Seville Boulevard Families (East Beach) and the Temple Drive Families (Santa Maria). The Grove Street Families and the Varrio Los Aztecas even called an alliance to help keep Los Santos' drug trade and territory completely under control. The alliance was also called for after CJ and the Grove Street Families' efforts in helping the Aztecas gain back El Corona. Since then, the moves made with the Aztecas as well as other Families sets has allowed Grove Street to reign control over all activities within Los Santos - even organizing drugs and weapon trading with contacts in San Fierro, Las Venturas, Vice City and Liberty City. With the Families and Aztecas controlling Los Santos, the Ballas and Vagos were severely weakend. Both gangs were forced back to just one suburb each, with the Front Yard and Kilo Tray Ballas sets being finished for good. This also meant that the LSPD's main targets were now the Families and Aztecas. Police activity within both gangs' territories were increased significantly, especially within Families-controlled areas. The Families were now the LSPD's #1 enemy. Shortly after the deaths of Tenpenny, Pulaski and Hernandez, the controversial C.R.A.S.H. department was dropped and the Los Santos Police Department taken over by Chief Callaghan. With large amounts of state funding from the Los Santos Mayor's Office being flooded into the Department, it wasn't long before Chief Callaghan took advantage and upgraded the department's weapons, armor and vehicles - and with a record-number of police officers being recruited to the LSPD - Chief Callaghan was now prepared and ready to exercise his power to the fullest extent. * More characters will be added as the story progresses. Isaiah "Izzy" Williams 18 year-old African American growing up in the ghetto suburban sprawl of Willowfield; Seville Boulevard Families turf. He and his grandmother are surrounded by the hardships and poverty as a result of the Los Santos crack epidemic years before - not to mention the area's notorious gang presence. While his grandmother tries her best to keep him out of trouble and off the streets, the Families influence is all around the Williams' household and it's only a matter of time before they become a major involvement in young Isaiah's life. Brenda "Grandma" Williams 64 years old. Grandma's looked after Isaiah since he was 12; after the car accident tragedy that killed both of young Isaiah's parents. While she's doing the best she can to keep him out of trouble, she's constantly worried about her grandson's involvement with gang and criminal activity. Marcus "Marc" Cooper Isaiah's right-hand man a.k.a ride or die. He dropped out of high school at 15 to focus on his rap career while selling dope. Needless to say he made more money selling weed than he did CDs. A Seville Boulevard Families member since the age of 16, he's been in and out of county jails and prison more times than he's done drive-by's. When it comes to the gang and his homies, he's always down - as his criminal record would tell you. Rosa Cortez Isaiah's high school sweetheart. A young Hispanic girl from the Southside, Rosa's no stranger to the gang environment herself. She's lived in El Corona her entire life, and witnessed many things from such a young age. Losing both of her older brothers to gang violence, Rosa's an ambitious girl dedicated to making it out of the barrio. Chief David Callaghan Every gang and gang member in LS' #1 enemy. Chief Callaghan was appointed in charge of all C.R.A.S.H operations after the death of Officer Frank Tenpenny. His aggresive approach in an attempt to crack down on gangs and drugs in Los Santos was starting to work, and now having been promoted to Chief of the LSPD, all police resources and commands are at his disposal. "OG Lloyd" Carter Not much is known about him other than the fact he's one of the main leaders of the Seville Boulevard Families. Has thoroughly earned his respect in the 'hood. "Big Wayne" Same goes for "Big Wayne". Earned his reputation inside prison where he recently spent 10 years. One of the most notorious & feared SBF gangbangers ever known. * More missions will be added as the story progresses. Act I #1 | "Introduction" // >> DOWNLOAD #2 | "Introduction (Pt. Satourn
This looks legit my guy. I love these in-universe projects so good luck with this. EDIT: Aight I just completed the two intro missions, and all I have to say for now is - holy sh*t your sound design is immense. A couple of minor-ish flaws: 1). the actors hiding and spawning in cutscenes doesn't look all that good; 2). using only dynamic cutscenes doesn't look all that good either. Other than that, this has a lot of potential. A lot of attention to details, great script, some foundation laid for future character development. I haven't seen a project with this much effort put into it since The Flats. RithRake24
I am excited to play this. I will however be extremely busy till the 5th of September so I'll attempt the missions afterwards and offer my opinion. Damn, SatournFan is a hard one to impress, so I can say you're definitely on the right track from the word go. Good luck! Platinum Card
Alan Eastwood
I have recently finished playing the two missions. I loved the sound you added and how you manage to synchronize all the sounds in a single audio. As for the story I am starting to get hooked by what I played. It feels fresh, despite seeing this kind of mission pack millions of times. Good work, man. RithRake24 and Death Row Gaming

Platinum Card
Death Row Gaming (DRG for short cool?), I've just completed the two introductory missions and was pleasantly surprised at just how good the design of the two missions came together. The sound quality (to harken back to Satourn Fan) was pretty damn good as well as the written dialogue. This definitely reminded me of something you'd see in perhaps a movie like Baby Boy, Boys In The Hood, or Menace To Society. I'm most certainly hoping that it's all maintained the full ride through. I'm always game for something with high quality design and production. Needless to say your efforts are much appreciated. Looking forward to the rest! RithRake24
@Death Row Gaming I picked this up to give it a go as I promised a few days before, and boy was I impressed. I have to admit I've never seen something of this level from a newcomer ever before. I'm not making a long review for now, since most of my points here would simply be repitions of @SatournFan's feedback, and since only two missions have been released. As SF mentioned, the sound design is incredible and it is astounding how you managed to time the audio correctly to synchronise with the little walk that Isaiah is tasked to do in the first mission. I personally find most GTA SA Universe missionpacks cliche and so full of boring shooting sequences, but I cannot say the same for this project. With the character of Isaiah I can see great potential for development, and the story seems to have taken off on a good note. Dialogues are suitable so far, and occasionally humorous and relatable too. I agree on SF with what he said about the cutscenes though, try to avoid using too much moving cutscenes, especially during the dialogues as the movement of the camera can tend to be very distracting. Moving cutscenes are ideal for setting shots and shots involving character movement, but it is advisable to keep the camera still during dialogues so that the player is able to focus on what's being said by the characters. Otherwise, I feel that this is a fantastic start to a promising project. Keep up the good work! Death Row Gaming
What's up, everyone! Apologies for being inactive & not releasing any additional missions, etc. Due to IRL issues, I've been unable to dedicate any time towards this project & didn't have the enthusiasm at the time to put in as much effort & detail as I'd wanted to. Just dropping an announcement to let y'all know I'm back, this mission pack is still alive, and is going to be much more better than originally planned. I've got a lot more time on my hands now, and plenty of ideas I never would've thought about when I first released EF1996. Whole lotta effort 'bout to be put in. Expect the next mission release after New Year's. Platinum Card, Alan Eastwood, Thunder0515 and 3 others

Thunder0515
This is awesome! I like this so much. The plot is incredibly realistic, the dialogues are perfect. I had a lot of joy reading the dialogues. The gameplay is also nice, it doesn't immediately throw you into action. 10/10, my guy. Platinum Card
This was very well done. I'm surprised this hasn't gotten much traction yet. I enjoyed the sound mixing and the natural storytelling that this mission came with. There were no bugs and everything ran smoothly. The cinematic cutscenes felt natural and fitting. I like the plot of a trouble youth going through the motions in a bad neighborhood, being influenced by the streets (OGs, drugs, etc). I don't want to give away much and spoil the mission for everyone else but I like where things are going. The work you put into this is much appreciated. I look forward to playing what's to come. Mojko
Just played the three missions, first two were very good. Although the third one left me a bit dissapointed, I'll put it in spoiler incase someone doesn't want to read what the mission is about: Spoiler So you introduced a new character that is apparently the main protaganist's girlfriend, but I don't recognize her name from the introductory chapters? It just felt like that character kinda slapped ontop there Ontop of that the third mission ended very strangely, cops chasing you and some ballas in a car and then it just cuts out? What about the girl in pizza stack? Overall I was left confused and wanting for more in the third episode
