motomami
Has Rockstar ever used the same person for multiple roles? If she does play Lupe which to me really sounds like her, why would they cast their main protagonist as a random NPC contact in GTA Online? The satire and tongue-in-cheek digs at American culture seen in GTA remind me very much of the way Mega City One and its citizens are often portrayed in in the Judge Dredd strips of British comic 2000AD

The bumbling buffoon of a husband vs the housewife who carries the family on her back etc. There's nothing inherently wrong with it, if it's done poorly it's simply poor writing overall. As for what's happening in Disney stuff, if you're referring to Marvel stuff (I don't have knowledge of their other stuff my self) then I mean, it's super hero stuff lol, anyone can be super powerful cause that is literally the point. SuperHeichou
Since they are talking of a latino female protagonist in GTA VI, I keep in my mind the idea of a character like Letty Ortiz in Fast and Furious. Yes, there are many voice actors that have played minor (and different) roles across multiple games. A list so long I can't be bothered to write it actually. It's the thing of 'work with who you know'. If they need background voices or NPC's, they will use someone from prior titles who they know and trust. Voice actors generally have a broad range of sounds and accents to pull from to make this possible. But for major roles. I don't think any of their talent pool has played multiple major characters. This is down to their attitude post San Andreas in casting people relatively unknown to eradicate the drama that comes with employing celebrities. Major roles have played minor roles in prior games though. For example Shawn (Franklin) did some NPC work in San Andreas, and Curzon (Hosea) also did some NPC work in RDR 1. What might interest you though is the person who voices and acted Charles. He has a really comprehensive game resume. Having played a lot of characters across so many games. What do you mean? There has always been chick criminals, gangsters, gang bangers, robbers. Sure crime world is very male dominant and man are obviously in physical advantage like in fights etc. But a female can rob a bank or jack a car pretty much the same as a men if she has gun or knife etc. If a chick comes to pull you from your car to steal it while pointing a gun or knife at you im sure you would be as scares as with male robber. When there a gun pointing at you the gender whos holding it does not matter much and well gta characters always have a gun or knife with them anyway. About fighting,, well thats more complicated because the fighting system and style would be very different if its done realistically because the male enemies may not even want to hit you because well you are girl etc.. But then again it works in The last of us, so why it would not work in GTA. Spoiler Its not a new thing either. https://www.vintag.es/2016/11/american-outlaws-criminals-14-notorious.html Spoiler Belle starr. Colombian gangster Griselda Blanco Spoiler Street girl gangs https://www.documentjournal.com/2020/02/the-untold-stories-of-chicagos-tough-as-hell-girl-gangs-from-a-woman-who-lived-it-all/ Spoiler There has been lots of female bank robbers too Also there is females cops in real life and they handle their job just as needed,, so how would female criminal also not get her crimes done as well? Im sure rockstar games are creative enough to do it well,, unless now that Dan is out things have changet. I dont know. Who knows. Guess Who Plays GTA
I could definitely seeing the next protagonist (one of them, if multiple) being latino/latina. Maybe Puerto Rican this time around, since we had a Dominican protagonist in Luis Lopez. I know some might ask "what's the difference?" there's some very slight subtleties in both cultures, but we're more like cousins than anything lmao Zello
