DeltaV20
as long as the protagonist posses some testosterone fest which will help 16 year olds replicate themselves with the character , R* should be fine and ofcourse a very very sad backstory bcz in this society a skinny teenage idiot prefers 40s male bcz he can relate and say ''omg he is literally me WOW!'', i am perfectly fine to dual wield a UZI as a female protagonist but i hope R* don't ruin it by providing the character some unnecessary gore and testosterone like for e.g far cry and tlou2 Spoiler this doesn't not look cool and doesn't suit a female protagonist not even male sometimes lmao motomami, Rajder and universetwisters 1
BloxedRetro
Honestly can't f*cking wait for a female protagonist. This is honestly gonna be badass. I wanted one for this game for a while, but my only concern now is that Rockstar write her well. I didn't like how V's characters were written. It felt like you were playing as the Job bosses, mainly those who you are supposed to feel uneasy about when watching them in cutscenes. gucciflipflops

So why did she remove her job at r* in her cv just when we found out about her? Makes no sense at all if she is a character from the just-released online update And i wouldnt count Lupe as "principal character" Imo she is our protagonist in gta 6, but guess only time will tell the truth Edited July 29 by Punkd
BloxedRetro
One idea I think could work could be like a reverse GTA 3. As a female, you shoot your partner and take the goods for yourself, however instead of it being for no reason other than selfishness, she actually has reasons for it that aren't out of selfish desires. Donald Lov
The most important thing is to escape vulgarity. Both protagonists MUST, in my opinion, retain the nonchalant disposition some of the classic GTA protags are well known for(Tommy, Niko, Luis, Trevor,(during the rare moments when he's not insane). People cite Sadie Adler as the kind of character they'd like to see used as a blueprint for a female lead, but let's be f*cking honest here - we'd be tired of her sh*t after two hours. She doesn't have the necessary stature to be a protagonist, because she can not control her emotions. Unacceptable for somebody we're supposed to spend dozens of hours playing as. My ideal female protagonist would be Arthur Morgan meets Trevor Phillips, something in-between the two. TheMadTitan and tabajara
Scott Ransom
I find it bizarre how GTA has attracted such a liberal fan base all of a sudden. I mean it's a game where you can bludgeon prostitutes to death after sleeping with them, commit acts of terrorism/mass murder, sell drugs and engage in all sorts of nefarious activity - not exactly things the liberal crowd would condone but theres uproar when people voice their displeasure at potentially playing as a female protagonist. I don't have a problem playing as a female - but they'd have to bring back multiple characters, we should still have the option of a male protagonist. IMO it just wouldn't feel like GTA we could only play as a female. Either way I'm starting to feel like VI may turn out to be anti-climatic based on what I read in that article - I do hope I'm wrong however. You don't have to kill a Prostitute if you want, and Rampage missions (Which often feature the most innocent deaths outside of specific missions *Cough Cough* Bringing the House Down) are also side missions, and also GTA IV has heavy anti-war themes and a lot of the radio stations feature liberal stances. However GTA also mocks liberals and conservatives so it is politically neutral by mocking everyone.

I think if you weighed up R*'s writing (story, characters, radio, in-game TV, etc etc) it'd very much lean to the left overall. You could maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe argue it's neutral if you're going off British political lines but even then I'd say personally that's a stretch. GTA's satire is focused heavily on a lot of American things we Brits have historically looked at with complete and utter bewilderment - healthcare, gunlaws, etc, which makes sense, given it's a of course a series written traditionally by Brits. Though lately I get the impression that the satire in those things have went so far over certain peoples heads they've misunderstood it as R* championing those things, lol. motomami, Wakka387, NightmanCometh96 and 1 other

Basically this! I reckon Rockstar probably regrets some of it now tbh. It's all fun and games until you fast forward two decades later and you have a fanbase full of man children foaming at the mouth at the thought of a female protagonist. (This casting call was also in ActorsAccess - the site where her CV is and one that she most likely uses to search casting calls) If this is the role she booked and that casting call really is VI, it seems she would not play the main character but instead the mother which I imagine is still a principal character Tom Henderson did mention a female hacker in his video too. Spider-Vice
That's... interesting considering that casting call from months ago is for a video game. 5 minutes ago, Jason said: DO NOTE IF IT IS: the description may have little to zero relevance to the actual character Yup. May not be GTA and it doesn't even match the Schreier report of male+female. Edited July 29 by Spider-Vice let your hopes and dreams turn into burning fire!
