areyouchappin
RDO is already going to die off naturally simply because of R*s vision, just like RDR1 did, no boycotts or strikes will be needed. Veteran players will continue to fall through the cracks to play other games while newcomers get suckered in for a few months before they realize there isn't sh*t to do in this game. QFT on #ZeroSustainingGameplay and #PoorMultiplayerGameDesign once you complete the single player campaign. You'd think they would keep most if not all of the single player RPG features. Stuff like activate ability to sell horses and carriages FFS. This is the GTA equivalent of selling cars at LS FFS. Selling these two commodities would allow players to make more money. But oh no. That is something R* doesn't care to let happen. Because players would grind this instead of slaving away on their servers, grinding cheap ass nuggets in mediocre daily challenges. activate AT LEAST ONE Trapper NPC so players to take advantage of said NPC's services. Or better yet, SEVERAL Trapper NPCs distributed around the map in the wilderness areas. So PvE players have an alternative to the griefer sh*t hole that main towns like Blackwater have devolved to. But oh no. That is something R* doesn't care to let happen. Because that would reduce any potential for PvP griefer/player interaction. Because the more PvP interactions they can force on the players in general, the more weapon maintenance & bullets a player needs to buy from NPC vendors. And the more likely a player might turn to buying their predatory shark cards I mean gold bars just to enjoy the damned game. Keeping immersive features like ability to eat bar food and the bed & bath services for those of us PvE players who're seeking to sustain the immersion from single player. Players who don't care for said feature can just ignore it. But oh no. That is something R* doesn't care to let happen. Because they're paranoid us PvE players would abuse said feature. Because adding this feature would reduce the possibility of potential griefers from annoying you in your camp (even with the white flag raised). Single player features like special event areas, the tons of collectibles you could find in the game world, etc etc. Keep those features and randomly distribute/trigger the events around the map. But oh no. Because R* simply DOES NOT want players to enjoy any exploration and immersion of this game. Because all of that would be a distraction from allowing players to do what R* ultimately wants them to focus on. Griefing and murder hoboing each other on a 24/7 basis. So players will be better incentivized to buy their #%&@! predatory shark cards I mean gold bars just to play this most dysfunctional mode of the game. Ability to change our fugly NPC character.....wait--well sh*t. Apologies for the brainfart. Apparently this will be coming in the next update. Wonder the extent of Tomf*ckery R* will be pulling on players this time? Like a trip to the cosmetic surgeon to change your character's fugly mug costing 30+ gold bars... But R* being R* with their anal retentive focus on micro transactions in this MVP multi player game will do what they characteristically do best. Nerf any interesting PvE sandbox content that would keep PvE players engaged doing PvE activities (and away from PvP player encounters). Pressure PvP players into using PvE players as target practice. So they'll be forced into constantly buying and maintaining the best weapons/ammo/health aids etc. So they'll be pressured into buying gold bars in the store. Force PvE players to go broke from self defense and trying to avoid being PvP/griefer players game content. So they'll be forced into constantly buying and maintaining the best weapons/ammo/health aids for self defense. So they'll be more pressured into buying gold bars in the store. Force all players to grind for nothing. So they'll be always pressured into buying gold bars from the store. Because yes. THAT is what R* WANTS to continuously have happen in order to keep milking millions off this game. Just like GTAO. Gameplay in online is fast becoming 1 dimensional. If this trend in poor existing game play content continues, I suspect RDR2O will follow the rapid descent that F76 & Anthem are on i.e. going the way of TRex, the Dodo and the typewriter maintenance man.
