DID I COMPLETED GTA IV ?

Recommended Posts

metabeta

Hello folks, i have been playing GTA IV for a week now. But when i play there is no place of interest where Nicco has to go.

In the map (usually there is a letter G,J or P). But now there is no such things.

I am thinking to myself, did i complete the game. See i am not interested in those stunts; like 50% or 65%. To me it doesn't matter.

So can anyone tell me did i finish the game, Officially. Awaiting reply.

Credits will show up in case you completed the story.

Anyway, what was the name of the last mission you completed? It shows in your savegame, unless you haven't saved your game after completing the mission.

If it's "Story Complete", "A Revenger's Tragedy" or "Out of Commission", then you actually completed the story. Otherwise, there might be some missions that didn't show up yet. In this case, try to travel to more than an island, especially Bohan and Broker, then try to save the game. You might get a call from Packie or Kate, as far as I recall.

Off-Topic: By the way, you posted this in The Lost and Damned expansion pack's section, not the vanilla GTA IV's section. Doesn't seem like a big deal, though.

The last saved game or side mission was "Liquidize the Assets". Then this Frankie calls up and ask how did the interview go and Nicco says not to well.

The call keeps up coming. Anyways i'll explore more to see what could i do, this game is mighty long, GTA III was much better.

It took me good three weeks, when i started playing this game, its mighty long on ps3.

The interview call sounds like a reference to Final Interview, one of Francis' missions. If you haven't completed all of Francis' missions and the ones that lead on from it you definitely haven't completed the game.

Anyway that mission is a "job interview" that happens at a set time in-game (you can look at the "organizer" on your phone to see the day and time, when the time is close a message pops on the screen to let you know and a marker shows up on the map and you can go and do the mission). I think maybe you're just missing it and the calls are because of that. If I remember right after you get that call a new time is automatically set. The mission marker looks a little different, instead of a letter it's a different symbol, I think it's like a tie, and it's down at the bottom of Algonquin near the clothing store.

So check in the organizer on your phone, hopefully the interview time is there and if it is look out for the marker in the south of Algonquin when the time is near, make sure you're wearing a suit with a tie and nice shoes from Perseus, and you should be able to do the mission.

Btw there's another mission that works the same way, Out of the Closet where in the first part Brucie tells you to set up a date with a guy so you can assassinate him. After you've completed the first part of just setting up the date (which is triggered by a B for Brucie on the map so I guess you've done it) you have to wait a bit and then check for an email from the guy and respond positively to set the date up. And then it'll be in your organizer and you go to the diner for the date/mission at the correct time. And if you don't do it you keep getting texts from Roman reminding you. This is also how dating girls from the internet works. Just in case the problem is that you're not familiar with the organizer and missions/dates that happen at a set time :)

I never even knew that haha. I was going to say it's not too much trouble if you arrive with the wrong clothes anyway since just tells you that when you enter the marker and you can pop across the street to Perseus to get the right clothes. But yeah I guess you couldn't even remove the hat and glasses there so you'd have to nip home in a taxi or deliberately get them knocked off by a car lol

Also I never realised before this thread that you can leave Francis' missions that long! I thought they'd be required to unlock something as late as Liquidize the Assets but I guess not. Interesting.

Thank you billiejoearmstrong8 , the job interview took place at a tall office building downward to Algonquin area besides Perseus store.

The reason why i missed was the icon looked like an "I" or "i", just near to that icon lays some areas which couldn't be understood from the map; that icon didn't even

have color. And that icon appeared at a set time especially after 7 am. Only would it trigger that mission. But after completing that mission, there were at least 10 more

mission closely followed by the gangster daughter, Roman's death and then finally killing Dimitry. Then when i saved it, it was with the name "Story Complete" .

So that means, the game is complete now. U see i had a PC DVD GTA IV and my hands were itching to play it. Finally today i finished it.

I kind a didn't enjoy this game, lots of tall buildings and big roads and realistic looking storms, sunset, morning light and not so likable characters.

It was all there but it wasn't at all nostalgic and didn't feel nice, like the previous GTA III or the San Andreas. I never could get my hands on a Grand Turismo GT car.

It was super nice, but i couldn't get my hands on that car.

Well now its complete, so the next would be GTA V,,,,, starting tomorrow.

muhuhahahaha........

PS3 is a wonderful system, l played GTA IV now GTA V. Without requiring me to buy those graphic cards and a new pc.

Thank you all, its finally done. Just ticked it from my bucket list.

Thought it might've been because of the weird icon. Glad you got to play the rest of the game! Even if you didn't like it so much. Although if you have a save near the end you could try doing the other ending (Revenge instead of Deal) if you wanted :D
