Maze Bank offer 170% on shark cards - Am I the only one?

So it's not really on my account but a friend of mine got this offer and actually recieved 6 Million + on his latest shark card buy.

It's in german but it basically says that you get 170% on your next shark card buy.

 

I searched the internet with not a single reference.

 

Is he the only one with such an offer?

It's all random and you cannot qualify.

I wouldn't say they're desperate. Running this game has given them a revenue of 6 Billion dollars and growing (sold copies and Online). Take the lack of support and the whole grinding with it and I'd say they pretty much in the money zone.

Unless someone has some inside source, I wouldn't say it is random. I'd bet that the targeted offers are tailored to that persons specific play style and/or in game behaviors or past real $$$ purchases.

Special offers like this have been happening since 2016/2015

It's nothing new, the selection is random.

The way those offers work is that you get a special privilege than other players that allow you to have this offer.

How exactly you get this privilege is unknown because all of this is decided from inside of R* studios or servers. It kinda seems like those offers always show up when you log in on Thursdays or Wednesdays like before the weekend.
