Unfortunately it was even more than that.

 

Basically OP that thread and this site was used to coordinate harassment on Rockstar, so it's gone and it will likely stay gone. A new one with a mod is in this section iirc.

I know R* are a bit deaf towards their single player fans of late, but to go trolling over that hair really only helps R* further think less of us gamers.

 

It never bothered me about the hair, but I can fully appreciate many do care. Doing that surely can only hurt the cause, IMHO.

I had heard about it, but to get actually confirmation is crazy! They went that far for it I wanted the hair too even made some hot headed post, but those guys are something else!!

I cannot argue that these guys stepped way out of line (and probably needed a different hobby in their lives) but I also can't deny that this part of the forum hasn't been as lively since that thread was obliterated.

I saw that too that’s why I wanted to know what happen to that thread it was the thread that everyone posted in. I check in from time to time and I see the same old lost with nothing updated no new topics or interesting discussions any more it’s sad. Hope October brings something to us single players though can only hope it’s Director Mode it’s the only thing they can do what else is left.

It was very much a build up of things and not one thing in particular, in the last few days of the thread it could've been locked and deleted multiple times but I tried to put out the flames the best I could.

 

Couldn't do much when people kept coming in and throwing wood and gasoline on the fire though.

Its right move to stop unnecessary attack operations on rockstar livestream.

 

I dont know what was going on in the thread for last months but that topic was most popular thread of the RDR2 section. RDR2 section seems empty without this thread. We was sharing pictures of marstons 1899 and unique outfits. Game tips and tricks, update disscussions, bugs and solution fixes. Like darealbandicoots 1.00 findings for marston.

 

Im making video for Marstons 1899 outfits to share on youtube. It will be on the our new topic

 

Our petition reached over than 2.000 votes by the way. Thanks to everyone who helped us.

I think this was one of the problems with the thread, it became too big for its own good, too many off-topic posts etc, the thread was becoming like a forum inside one single thread, if that makes sense...

Dude, RDR2 sold 25 million copies, your "highly requested" feature only achieved 2000 votes in the petition. That is a drop in the a bucket for Rockstar, nothing will change.

A drop in what bucket? Its a matter of quality and consistency. It is NOT cool of Rockstar to leave their protagonist looking like this, but hey, what are you gonna do

 

There's no justification for the way they're treating it though, no matter how many copies they sell.

A small change in John Marston hairstyle is something insignificant to most people, I didn't even noticed any change in his hair until that thread appeared in this forum. It may matter to you and others, but there are simply not enough pissed off fans for Rockstar to give a crap about the matter.

Just because you lack attention to detail doesn't mean it's fine. Especially in a game filled with such "insignificant" crap all over.

It's quite a big change and could easily be fixed but whatever. Also the game is filled with insignificant details yet this glaring issue went under the rug. 

 

A VERY small number of us are lucky to have the hair on PS4 through modding but those on Xbox and without save wizard for PS4 are screwed and stuck with.... "John"

Do you know any good videos that really explains what the savewizard thing is? I am really starting to look into these mods for ps4 I want John’s hair and to be able to play as Arthur after the epilogue.

Settle down buddy, no need to get upset because I don't agree that Marston's hairstyle is important in my enjoyment of the game. I simply stated that not enough fans care about that for Rockstar to notice, that's all.

Very true, 2000 votes from us hardcore fans means absolutely f*** all to Rockstar. I mean lets put that number into perspective:

 

RDR2 copies sold - 25,000,000

John Marston Hair request - 2,000

 

That's - 0.008%

 

Fans in here, reddit, etc, are just a small number of hardcore gamers, you have to remember that casual gamers don't care about these changes etc.
