yachts getting moved and replaced with other peoples yachts

so a few days ago i had an issue where i was hiding from some tryhards on my yacht and it got replaced with another persons as i climbed on just today i went afk on my yacht and came back to be sitting in the hot tub of somebody else entirelys yacht, has anybody else experenced this glitch?

There is a cheat program that can teleport the cheaters, including vehicles. It's usually publicly announced in-game where to get it by dumbstar (allowing the cheat program full admin right still) in the game.

I've had this happen on PS4. I presume something f*cks up when people arrive whose yachts are in the same mooring points as your own. I was kicked out of my yacht interior onto the deck, told it was no longer accessible as the owner had left, and my yacht icon appeared at the next point to the south.

R* need to remove the fees for moving the yacht. Yes, it doesn't cost mega bucks, but it is annoying and acts as a psychological block. And, what is the point of paying for moving your yacht if you end up getting bumped out of your selected location anyway? And now thanks to the casino, we can fast travel for free, so I think it's time R* made it free for the yacht too.

Also the fact that every pleb owns one after the massive discounts the other week. I bought one very late into the game and even then Yachts were rare but now there are so many its pointless having it docked where you want it. I have mine docked at the beach next to the Pier (original, I know) and every session it ends up past the country club or round the back of the airport.

Yeah exactly. They're not a rare thing anymore. The moving fees make no sense in the current game state.

To be honest I never thought of using my Yacht as Fast Travel station. I would have used it to get to Plaeto Bay faster but thats useless now.

I once had 3 yachts in the game. The two dupes without vehicles. And the name of my yacht was mixed with another name.

My only real use of the yacht these days is when I have a tryhard, or group of them, following/pestering me. I will land on the yacht, wait for them to join me, and move it to Paleto Bay. Then heist warp home.

Leading sh*t stains to it while AA is on is also fun. Most people are so intent on getting you they dont realise they are flying into a trap.

The horrors of upkeep and maintenance. At least y’all had the opportunity to sell. Living in the Gulf Coast, my uncle lost his boat due to damage from Katrina. But I swear he looked happier having a insurance check for a smaller % of the money he put into it than actually having it .

 

On topic, the yacht is a pretty paperweight, what a wasted opportunity. To think we used to envision playing a version of Battleship with each other online before the DLC dropped. At least it gives me a parachute landing spot whenever the Daily Objective pops up.

The Yacht to date has been my most expensive purchase, and  that holds true for all yacht owners, I have 10 million invested in mine, But i guess rockstar needed a way to finish clearing out all the modded money and Adder Bonds we held under our second characters in the earlier days of the game, so what better than a yacht that could cost a bundle of money and not return 1 cent in revenue ....no missions no nothing except a paper weight floating in the water that gets moved around at random,   Mine gave me a laugh or three early on when players would fly over it when i had the defenses enabled and they got blasted out of the sky
