Haha that's yet another issue that they are working on right now

Thanks for the answers. I saw that in ps3 the grass also pops in very close, so what the hell. Back then we didnt care about this stuff, oh man ignorance was bliss.

Badcredo

Hi guys, how u doin?

So my mods folder has been getting bigger and bigger, and things are getting more and more complicated with remembering what does what.

How do you organize your mods using overloader?
What would you say is the proper way to install mods and not forget what files belong to what mods?

Random question, but with FF and Various Fixes should I use vsync, or no? I cap my FPS to 60 using Nvidia control panel.

Well if you are on VRR display - just cap fps to 60 in any convenient way and turn Vsync off. Thats how I play GTA4 and many other games (but some rare games may still produce tearing and Vsync ON fixes that). On non VRR display I'd recommend using Vsync to prevent tearing.

Thankfully G-Sync fixed all the tearing issues I used to have. I have been playing the game with vsync off without issues, but when I went to play TBoGT I noticed some strange things in the opening cutscenes like wheels missing on a car, flickering textures outside the window, etc. figured I'd ask because vsync on or off gave the same results so I am not sure the problem.

How can i turn on “Console Shadows” in the latest version of the Fusion Fix mod? Were they deleted? If yes, why?

Soft Shadows would be closest to Console Shadows in terms of looks, just with the improvements of the rest of the shadow changes.

No, i mean “Console Shadows” are shadows that were missed in the PC GTA IV version. Like in tunnels there is no more shadows

In the latest version of the mod you can find that as "VehicleNightShadows" in the .ini. It's not perfect and probably won't be for a long time since it's hard to restore properly, hence why it's disabled by default.

Which one is the closest to console? I'm assuming it's "Star".

Star/Cross is vanilla.

If you're talking about a specific place on the map that has flickering textures, it's probably best to report it to Various Fixes, these cases are out of scope for FusionFix.

I have tried a bunch of vegetation mods (bisonsales etc.), they're lightweight too just about <45mb.

However at times the game seems to still try to load some old/vanilla tree model at a really low res/blocky, and the modded tree is only loaded and replaced when I go really close so it's not really a draw distance or LOD issue afaik. Does anyone know how to solve it? I used fusion fix and put .img files in update folder.

Hi everyone. Sorry to bother, but i really want to know what cause camera bug in Shifting Weight mission. It was stable for some time, like it still had that cinematic camera, but it wasn't that big of a deal, but now i have both zoom in and cinematic camera, and thats just absolute nightmare. Can anyone tell me what files are responsible for camera and aiming in that mission. Im on CE, with FF and VF, three script mods involving police, lveries and animated weapons.

Which texture pack for GTA 4 Complete Edition is the best, that makes game look better, with the level of detail like Liberty Visual, Project RevIVe and ICEnhancer 4.0?

I want to make it look like this:

Hello, who understands commandline? Which commands are really useful and worth writing, and which are no longer relevant and useless with FusionFix?

fusion fix comes with -nomemrestrict in the .ini, it helps with pop-in if playing with high draw distance sliders

and IF your game reports wrong video memory, use -availablevidmem <your vram in megabytes>

these are the only ones you should use really

So uh, can someone tell me whats wrong with Shifting Weight please? Where is the root of this issue in the first place? Sometime camera jumps back, and zoom in soon after...

Well, since Extended Limits are on in my case, it should be the cause of this issue. But can i manually somehow fix it? Cuz i can't remove extended limits.

144 FPS

Does anyone know any more zooming sequences apart from those from "It's Your Call" that speed up with the frame rate?

As I recently fixed all the sequences in that mission after digging through it's script and I'd like to try to fix the rest too if there are any more

Not to my knowledge, but there are plenty of other scripts that are fps dependent such as the high-rise elevator in "Deconstruction for Beginners" and the fenced gates in Alderney that open faster the higher your fps.

Not sure if it's a script, but when climbing a ladder, Niko pauses for a second or two before starting climbing above 30fps. At 30 fps it doesn't happen.

Someone already found a fix for animated objects like that btw, it's caused by the unscaled speed parameters of the SLIDE_OBJECT native function

I think it might happen because of the broken overall pathfinding above 30 FPS, as ladders don't have their own script it seems. Makes sense tbh.

Done

Also fixed that burning AoD in Action/Reaction not falling down the stairs as an extra.

Apparently that was because the bounding box in which he can do his thing was too small for frame rates higher than 30, so I just doubled it and that seems to fix it up to 300 FPS at the very least : P

I noticed in these screenshots that there are different toggle options for "Bloom" compared to mine (I only have the "on" and "off" setting). Same for Tone Mapping, that feature is nowhere to be seen in my Display settings. I take it this is part of an updated release for FusionFix? Are new FusionFix updates released on the front page of this thread or is it auto-installed? I know that in-game that I have "Check for FusionFix Updates" toggled on under "Game" settings.
