Errmm.   Anybody noticed the game NOT crashing over the last few days ????   Mines not crashed in 3 days now.  Have Rockstar deployed a "Stealth Patch" because I have noticed there have been 2 or 3 updates when starting the launcher over the last few days but cant find anything on the internet that says it may be fixed.

Mine didn't crash either this week. I had a feeling these crashes were Rockstar's fault all along and nVidia was not guilty. Especially because the crashes went away from putting the game in offline mode. The crashes just happened to coincide with a driver update from nVidia. I gues for some people correlation implies causation. My PC even managed to crash on an AMD GPU after running DDU and everything.

Yeah I reckon you're right,

not crashed now all week even when hosting a heist (it seemed to crash more when I was hosting a mission).  I've also noticed other people aren't crashing as sometimes when you do a heist you get the old "Player left....." message half way through doing a mission which I think indicates that they have crashed (rather than them quitting by choice).

Ill try the business missions (sell all the cash I've printed) as trying these missions before would almost guarantee you to crash.

Anyone else having a better experience ?

I recorded my time playing in GTA from Oct 12,  2019 I counted 19 crashes til Dec 12. And none for the following 43 hours. I stopped counting at Nov 20. Today (Nov 24, 2019) it crashed twice, not ingame, but immediately at the start of the game. I didn´t count these as real crashes. 6o3jwtny.png

was it error code 0xc0000005 (access violation) each time? (not counting the ones where it crashed right on startup)

Still not crashed over here, I've updated my NVidia drivers to the latest version (didn't use DDU), and I've done a motorcycle club cash delivery mission and played / hosted many heist's.

I think I agree with what Wackeldackel said regarding the game crashing wasn't counted, as it's out of scope of the original issue everyone's having due to it crashing in a different manner (not the normal in game "online" mode)

Have you crashed Airwolf ?

Anyway, see how it goes

not yet, I think Rockstar finally patched the issue. I didn't even update my drivers, the issue just magically went away.

So my game crashes when i install and use the new NVIDIA drivers but i came across the 431.60 version and the game runs on lower fps but at least it doesnt crash.

You can try for yourself if you have a Nvidia graphics card.

Interesting..  I'm still stable my end.  Anyone else crashing again after the last update (2/11/19)   ?

No fix I'm afraid,  It's either fixed or it's broken.

I'm having the same issues, in that one day GTA online works perfectly well for hours, and the next day I get CTDs every 10 mins. However, my graphics card is a radeon rx 580, wich signifies that the issue is either with both nvidia AND AMD drivers, or with the game itself. For some reason, I feel more inclined to say that it's the second, because GTA 5 is quite an old game.
