Never done any glitch. I just had lot of free time over summer since I had no school. I basically played 2-4 hours everyday grinding and after the Frontier update, I invested lot of time playing as Collector. Collecting whenever I had time. I would sell 1 or 2 collections a day if I could. But as of late I don't have as much time and don't play Red Dead as much like before since I don't have to worry about G or $.

Ok, was just curious as all cards, pamphlets and camp is about $50K worth, plus your current $280K-ish is about $330K+. The $1000-ish you said make a day since FP launched would put you at around $75K earnings which leaves you at around $255K pre FP and as someone who played about 4 hours a day since launch grinding money I'm wondering what I was doing wrong. I had $40K just before FP dropped and had all cards and camp maxed but only about a thirds of the pamphlets. Not really sure how that's possible legit.

I believe you. If, you had done those glitches, you would be in 350-400k territory, easy.

I don't have a life that's all lol. I had maxed out my old ability cards and collected most of the pamphlets before the the update. I already had over $100k before frontier update. I have been playing online since day one so head start probably helped. I played 4 hours a day but ofc there were many times I played more than that. Before the update I played showdowns a lot and won most of the time then if I got bored I would grind out strangers missions and wait out the time.

Fair enough then. Regardless, anyone even at $100K will have enough money for the next years worth of updates I'd say.

RDO is all I play at the moment. I usually play 2-4 hours a day, maybe more on a day off. That's in the morning before work and as I live 30 seconds walk away I come back and play on my breaks then a bit in the evening.

I got sick and tired of the permanent glitch my character had where no guns would appear in any Story cutscenes, so I restarted from prison. I have the basic ranch hand ensemble now, but nothing fancy in the wardrobe yet. I pared my weapons selection down and won't be happy until I can get another Rolling Block, and I have but one stable slot with a discount race horse of much alacrity but paltry health/stamina.

 

One thing I have going for me is a maxxed out Daily Challenge streak which carried over from the restart.

I thought I could stop at 100K but I was wrong. I'm happy at 200K and I'm not going AS hard with collecting; focusing more on daily challenges but still do the odd run. Having said that, I have 5K worth of collections to turn in and many duplicates.

 

50K will be plenty to get you through the next few updates I think.
