Just restarted and going for a minimalist approach on guns, clothing, horse(s) and roles.

 

Horse: Just one, a black Turk named Misfortune to hold me over until the silver Turk unlocks.

 

Guns: No offhand holster, no dual-wield. Not worth the fuss.

 

Roles: Just the Trader, for cash generation. Having the controller buzz whenever I'm near a collectible is an immersion-breaking distraction from whatever I wanted to do, so no Collector (I'll miss Salvage, but I never got to join the event in any case). Bounty Hunter never offered me anything I wanted, and the less said about the crazed Disney princess and her woodland creatures, the better. Moonshiner? I'll wait until the next sale, because I'd be a damned fool to pay full price for the privilege of buying a house for someone who has the temerity to then treat me like a witless lackey!

Now I start modding some of the weapons, but I do not like that modding an all gold revolver for 30 gold and then changing the variant and then having to pay 30 gold again to "re-modify" it back to how it was. One would think that one would own the modification when you purchase it.

The weapon variant skins do not remove your weapon style selections.  You can toggle back and forth.
