The social club 'days played' report has been messed up for a long time.

Mine says 1822 hours, but 14 days 22  hours.

I know it's reset itself at least twice now.

Maybe his 3000 hours is glitched by social club as well.

 

At any rate, the money and gold are certainly possible in a year's play.

About aaronBLUEeyes support ticket pinpointing the play time issue - I have no hope. Especially because there are so many other glitches/discrepancies on the social club page, e.g. in the awards. They have never been fixed. 
And even bigger (immersion or game-play) issues e.g. as the floating much-too-big gun belt, hunter knife disappearing from its sheaths (known to R*) or the under-ground Legendary Onyx Wolf persist since several months. But probably that should go in the b*tch & moan thread. So, I stop here.

 

In addition, I can confirm what kcole4001 says above. The social club "Days Played" is completely wrong since a long time and resets from time to time.

 

Another time anomaly I noticed:

The in-game player menu has a General Stats tab. There is an entry for "Total Time Spent in RDO". Mine says

-21 days -6 hrs.

Please notice the minuses - complete nonsense.

Before you ask: The cash was generated by war riding. That is completing with the online collector's map in hand as many sets as possible. Before R* randomized the items. Anyway, cash is useless in RDR2O.

 

Gold came from a daily achievements streak lasting several months before the nerf. It dawned on me you would have to fork over real life $900 to get 3100 GB.

 

Although R* is treating RDR2O as the poor relation, R* still makes decent money from RDR2O.

That should still be plenty for a long time.

And if you've spent a ton of money, there's probably not much left worth buying.

We managed to sync our XP so what we ranked up at exactly the same time to make the event a bit more special. This might be the last screenshot I post in here unless they remove the rank cap. But since we managed to rank up together I've put both screenshots in the same post.

Not at all. If I just relied on what Rockstar gave me then I would be bored but there are always things to do. And I'm into PvP and fighting is always different and doesn't get boring.

If I had as much gold as you, I probably wouldn't even bother with dailies, I'd spend all of my time wandering, fishing and hunting up around my Brandywine Drop spot. Congratulations!

All of the guns I use are gold. I think I have every gun. I don't own absolutely everything though. I've got 2 black Arabians and one white. No point having more horses. Lots of clothes that look disgusting that I haven't bought. Got almost all of the legendary garment sets. Not because I use them but it was fun going after all of the legendries. There's really nothing else in the game that I want to own. But it's not really about owning things. Even after all this time there are still things to do.

Your numbers especially ranks are impressive.  Just wanted to know, I just buy everything like in GTAO, just so when I scroll through the catalogue is says sold out.

I stopped bothering about cash after $100,000 to be honest, but still did deliveries for dailies.

Most of the cash came from selling collectibles, I'm and old school RPG player, so I just can't leave readily available loot laying around. 

Originally my goal was 1000 gold, but I kept going on after that obviously.

 

Now I haven't made a delivery for months, and only sell camp goods to clear them out when they're full and feel like doing more dailies.

Lately I've just been doing between 1 and 5 dailies depending on how easy and quick they are just to keep my streak running, such as it is now.

I've only really ever done 7/7 when there were no pvp or posse dailies, the 9/9 was always pretty easy to get, but I don't stress over it, only doing what I like.

I'd done plenty of grinding in GTA, not doing any more.

Games should be fun, not feeling obligated to jump through hoops.

What you have is plenty.

Unless you have a personal goal in mind, or you want to own everything,  you can relax and enjoy the fact you have enough wealth for anything that may come down the road.

My goal was originally 1000 gold, I figured that would cover anything that might be added.

The only reason I kept going is that nothing worthwhile has been added yet.

That would be awesome but I doubt it will happen since some of the most expensive things ingame alredy cost like 45 gold and those received a lot of hate.

 

The majority of players don’t have these amount of gold bars and never gonna buy them.

Way I see it Hammy, yes we are wealthy enough to afford us this dandy trader theme camp set and fancy drinking chair.. but no, not yet bloody wealthy enough for store dog food.
