I focused on the easy to get stuff, meaning easy locations and just kept stock until I finally decided to finish off 7 of every set. I would sell off anything in excess of 7 to keep slots open for looting and daily lists I didn't travel to Colter, or Spider Gorge except on the rare occasions I had no choice when completing sets. Much of what I found & looted came from regular travel doing dailies and after deliveries. Also I completed quite a few sets thanks to the bonus collectibles awarded from Outlaw Passes, which made ranking up those passes so fast. Now I only do sales for dailies, and some days I only collect for dailies, depending on what I feel like doing that day. Like in GTA, I've reached a plateau where I feel I can just do what I like and not bother with what I don't feel like doing. Today I hit $300,000. Depends how big spender you are really. I just checked my stats and I have earned 2012 gold and spent 938 gold. If you don't buy a lot of cosmetics you will be fine with 1000 gold. I don't believe the 600 gold mansion rumour. I have antique drink sets or whatever just sitting there for moonshiner, daily's and boosts. Not casting aspersions, just my preference, plus If I'm not playing RDO I'm doing something else that requires CPU/GPU power, so my play time is real play time, not idling. I have a lot of idle time, but it's not going AFK in a showdown, it's from having a solo lobby and not wanting to lose or go through the trouble of getting another. I can't see how to achieve 3000 hours in that short amount of time without doing some serious AFK/idling. Again, nothing wrong with that, it doesn't affect me how someone else plays their game, just saying that appears to be the case. I'm sure it's easily possible by AFKing showdowns/races, the gold amount is certainly attainable, I have almost twice that by spamming dailies until the nerf. And, NO AFK at all - I myself always wondered whether the play time shown (now at 3000+ hours) is indeed correct.
