PS4 need the game to play this?

Hi,

 

I simply wanted to know, does the online mission pack require a copy of GTA V already on the PS4? I saw the television advert, I think it was the advert, may be it was youtube.

 

I recently got a cheap PS4, just wanted to get some facts on this.

The online mode is included with gta5. It's basically an mmo so get grinding.

Yes. You need a copy of GTA V for your console if you wanna play GTA Online.

I have a copy of the game for the PS3. But not PS4, I was thinking perhaps it was the game with it, or just an addon for the copy of it. I'll need to get one at some point.

Unfortunately, I had to give this a miss. Downloading is annoying, and the PS4 online experience is poor. I am going to try and close the account I registered for it. It was only useful for downloading the shotgun addon for Prey and some addons for Mad Max. The code worked that was with the copy I bought second hand.

 

I was timed out of the PS3 online since June, I think I was kicked out of the games, so I thought I could use the PS4's. I am not sure what happened.
