StrafeFTW
I'm worried about the PS5 that it would be expensive as heck like 600 dollars, I hope that's not true because if it is then this sucks.. even the console according to rumours said that it is a strong console so 600 dollars seems more likely for PS5.. I hope not.. so do you think PS5 is going to be expensive as heck?
squeezx
Just dropped $1600 for a new PC so $600 sounds like a steal. Average white guy, KingAJ032304, CarltonDanks69 and 2 others

MrQuiche
You gotta make a choice, more performance=equals more cost but also better looking/better games in general or less performance=cost less but not up to standards in terms of graphics and games that have to cut some features/things to run properly. Make your choice. Also 500€ for a more than 5 years investment is great. It's basically 100€ a year
Jabalous
Take into account that by the time the game releases, next-gen consoles would likely have seen improved/optimized models with lower price (think -$100). Lordani_66
PS5 will be $500 tops. Consoles would never be expensive, history already showed how this ends. Actually, hardware-selling-wise, consoles bring losses for Sony and MS. It's the games that make money. Same with printers and ink. Yout pay the money for the printer when you are buying ink, that's how the market works like. Console makers are not stupid, they wouldn't make consoles that would be too expensive for people. CrimsonFolo
500 sounds like a decent price. Especially if you trade in your current console towards it.

MARKUS.
Not so much considering SSD prices has being lowered, I can expect the console to be at the same price as PS4/Xbone when came out
Timcatgt5
Paid £850 for my PC 2 and a half years ago, and it was worth every penny. I converted because I wanted more control for myself, adding an extra touch of responsibility that consoles are lacking. Examples are, downloading content from websites (like ISO files for emulators), mods to enhance gameplay, and a gaming service with regularly discounted games. While consoles get the games earlier, it allows more time for me to decide whether the purchase for PC will be worth the wait.

Len Lfc
I see this train of though pop up a lot, online. So many people forget that we're still 15 months away from the PS5 release. So you have 15 months to start saving. Besides, GTA 6 won't be a day one release. Even IF it came out 12 months later, you've still got 27 months to save for a PS5 and GTA 6. Not even taking into account possible sales and/or price reductions by the time GTA 6 finally releases. This is only a problem for those who are worried about the future, but here and now. Which doesn't make any sense. It's like being upset that it is raining today and it might ruin your day out next month. Lotte
we literally don't have any idea when GTA VI is actually going to come out. chances are pretty slim it's going to be a launch day title, and the first trailer for GTA V came out a full two years before the game did. I find it pretty hard to believe that the PS5 won't get a price cut or at least a sale within that time if GTA VI follows the same pattern

PS4 cost 399$ at launch and it was pretty weak performance wise while still being sold at a little loss. Inflation is also not a myth, 399$ will be like 450$ in 2020. I'm not worried when it comes to PS5 price, 500 or even 600$ is not really much for ~8 years of gaming, it's like 6$ per month, cheaper than let's say Netflix. 4 hours ago, StrafeFTW said: I'm worried about the PS5 that it would be expensive as heck like 600 dollars, I hope that's not true because if it is then this sucks.. even the console according to rumours said that it is a strong console so 600 dollars seems more likely for PS5.. Since like the end of 2018 it was pretty obvious that PS5 will hit the stores by the Holiday 2020 so you would have 2 years to save the money if you would like to buy the console before Christmas 2020, now you still have 15 months. I will say more, GTA VI will not come out before Fall 2022 so you still have 3,5 years. Edited August 21, 2019 by Kris194 ventogt

Pete4000uk
That would be around £499 Pound Sterling Inc 20% tax I would hope, trade in my PS3 and PS4 so say just over £420, then if I get £100 towards it for Christmas, humm I might hold off buying the first batch just to make sure any bugs are ironed out. Zello
Damn f*cking right I am. I just bought a PS4 pro last year. The PS5 better be around that level or cheaper if its 500 bucks or more I'm not gonna get it. $400 is reasonable. The main thing for me is backwards compatibility. If I can play all my PS4 games on there with no issues. I'll go out and buy one immediately. Lexiture
I will pay whatever it takes since, unless they announce single player expansions for it, I will sell the console and the game 1 year later. Mokrie Dela
A one of cost is fine but there has to be a cap. Especially as a year after launch there will be the ps5 S or something. If ps5 is 500, then a year later they'll release one with a slight improvement that'll cost even more If a console is gonna be more than 400 then really it should be the only version until the next generation- I.e. the ps6. Really annoyed me how the ps4pro came out and I couldn't afford it haha The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. You mean Hard drive space? You can just get an external one. I have 2 for my xbox, one being an SSD (Highly recommend) and one for my PS4 pro. On the pro, I'd recommend that if you have a 4K TV. But at this point, don't bother, PS5 in 14 months. The Grand Theft Auto VI Leak Archive GTA VI Timeline of Events
