x2 on dailies is good, can't knock that at all, but a September release for the update is more than disappointing.

Actually, the only good thing about this day RDO related is the increase of activity on the forums.

The thing that irritates me more than the lack of content and communication is the fact that so many things are still "broken". How many months now have posse challenges been regularly greyed out? How many times now have the showdowns had issues with registering completion for daily challenges? What about when we cannot even load into them at all without constantly getting kicked back to free roam? How about the disconnects from free roam itself?

 

The posse versus challenge thing really just irks me like nothing else though. I try to get together with people or invite them to my posse so that we can complete the challenges, but we end up wasting so much time and are lucky if we can even get the versus missions to launch at all. I can't say that I have much left within me to waste that much effort for some gold bars that I likely won't be using any time soon. And who knows if this "Coming Soon" update will even address these issues at all; we may have to wait months and months and months, if not an eternity for just some basic QoL improvements.

 

It's just depressing; I really hope that what's included in this update will be enough to keep us interested for several months, but it's going to be kinda disappointing if we can only expect to see maybe three DLCs at most per year with limited, drip-fed content that will become played out within a week or two at best.

What I am saying is that ignoring the calendar, common sense points to September as an autumn month. School is back, summer break is over, people are back to work if they were on vacation. Furthermore, looking at nature, there's many indicators that point to the start of fall that take place in September.

 

Here's a (probably poor) analogy. Its like telling your friend that you will be back later, only to arrive in 40 years time. Sure, its technically later, so you did tell the truth; but 40 years is clearly not what your friend understood when you said later. In the same way, summer is not understood to mean late September by most people (not sure if I was clear, but its the best analogy I could come up with).

Summer is generally understood to end on Labor Day weekend in the U.S., irregardless of meteorological and astronomical seasons.

Double gold is nice, was honestly going to leave it at 6/7 today but if I get 4 gold for "Don't reach max hostility" I'll take it. It kept disconnecting me this morning.... 5 minutes before said objective would complete

Exactly, because of the infrequent updates and stale periods, I'm not keen on committing.

 

Also not keen on doing showdown la that they admit are sloppy for 2 weeks while waiting. Sorry R* this is just botched.

Honestly, let's be real here for a second people... This summer update was never going to save the game. RDO needs about three or four more "major" updates(or more) before its going to be relevant again. A few hours of new content just isn't going to keep enough people busy for the next several months(or whenever R* decides to add new content).

 

I'm just really tired of doing the same sh*t over and over again. It's been the same fking things since last year and at this point I don't give a damn about RDO or the 2x Gold Bar bonus... I already have hundreds of gold bars and thousands of dollars... and for what? some ugly ass expensive clothing, ugly/expensive horses, expensive optional camp upgrades? All the Ability Cards I will ever use are maxed out.. all my favored weapons are bought and fully upgraded.. I have to literally force myself to play RDO, otherwise I just wouldn't touch it anymore.

 

There are way too many badass games out here right now for me to be wasting my free time on RDO any longer.

I'll probably play RDO again once a handful of updates have been released, until then I'm done waiting around for R*

I think most of their manpower and resources are focused on GTA6. RDO is on the backburner probably until it dies out.

I think a lot of people are frustrated and that is ok. I think we can all agree this game is too beautiful for it to not have content whether you are standing by or frustrated.

This game is a 105GB monster on the PS4 disc and has no content to play. Looks amazing, that I agree with, but its game content is a joke for the size it eats up on your drive. 

Assassin's Creed Odyssey takes up 70+ GB on the drive, but is laiden with content and has a much larger map too. It still sees content added regularly. This game doesn't even come close, even with the single player story considered.

Yeah I think il log in and do 10 dailies just for a refresher, but it feels like the energy should be focused on single player if anything

Whether the Almost Autumn Update was supposed to release today or not is neither here nor there really, we never had a date, today seemed to make sense but it hasn't dropped, roll on September.

 

The lack of information, on the other hand, is really poor form from R*. The tired old "more information to come over the coming weeks" b*llocks really p*sses me off. The weeks are coming...and going...and, as usual, R* are less than forthcoming with said information.

 

How could it possibly hurt to give fans and players something to talk about other than how stale the game is right now.
