It basically goes through every point of "possible causes" of violent behavior in the states, like Music, TV, Movies, Videogames, Marylin Manson, News, Gun laws etc. And the conclusion was that ALL COUNTRIES have just as much as everything of this (except two things), but only in America does 10,000 more people die by firearms every year than in any other country. Just watch it. It's not Movies or Videogames or Marylin f*cking Mansons fault. The two things are a mix of the difference in television (News/Commercials) than in any other country, and the Gun laws. It's basically FEAR that causes it. The News and US Government are keeping the US public in fear so that people can make money or hide away real issues. It's Y2K fear, it's Anthrax fear, it's the COPS show fear, it's commercials fear - spend money on this and that or this and that will happen to you, it's the fear of Joe Lieberman pointing at you saying "Hey kid, me and my people are working very hard to take away your fun. You just wait". It's the fear that no other country in the world has, combined with Guns and Ammo at their reach. But it's not Entertainment that causes it, so remember that parents. I hate stupid groups that try and censor things,aswell as saying how bad video games and things are.Most adults who do it are mental anyway,if they really think video games are going to make a mentally stable child go out and shoot someone. But i realise some guys may be too young to buy the game legally and it does require a parent to go along with you to buy it. DeathOmen Posted April 27, 2003 Share Posted April 27, 2003 My mum was real bad she would say " no shooting games " " the only guns games u can have are ones where u shoot aliens " then im like " what do u have against aliens ". But after a while i talked my dad into getting gta2 and mum was liked surprised at how it affected me and my brothers we would actually be more relaxed and happy and in my dads case he really liked gta2 but could not play it then say som thing like " this game is s#!t " then walk off but come back 10 mins later and keep on playing. Then gta3 came out and dad was like more excited about it than i was ( my dad is like 35 ) but it was good that way, i didn't have to buy it ( he all so likes eminem ).
