RC Bandito time trial: Construction Site!

Imagine controlling a race car with just your thumbs and forefingers. Sound absurd? That’s because it is. But don’t let that stop you from grabbing the remote of a RC Bandito and smashing each other’s records all to pieces in new RC Time Trials. 

 

With the release of The Diamond Casino & Resort, Time Trial payouts were permanently increased from GTA$50K to GTA$100K. Double down this week by picking up 2X GTA$ & RP on the brand-new RC Time Trials, that means a cool GTA$200K for successful completion. Simply head to the new RC Time Trial corona on your map to burn some tiny bits of rubber in your curb-height monster-truck.

 

 

 

 

Thought I could make a thread with this one since we have for all other time trials. Feel free to post videos of your run or whatever you want

I tried about 7-10 times before I said to myself, f*ck it.

 

It's horrible. The regular trials, even down chiliad, are challenging and fun. This crap is just torture. Not at all fun. I hate how the RC handles, the RC races were bad enough, now I gotta navigate tight corners too? No thank you. This is one activity won't regret skipping.

Got it done on ps4 here but it kicked my ass. Kept getting caught on every damn thing, its like a magnet for anything thats near lol

It becomes easier after knowing the track and its tight corners, and it’s also easy to restart in case of accident.. I beat the par time (under 1:42) after 6th attempt, but forgot to check how much I’ve won..

I like the idea of RC Bandito time trials but i don't like the idea of having checkpoints outside your field of vision.
 

I also don't like having Transaction Errors on it during 2x week. Still, I enjoy time trials so interested to see where they take this.

I think I have some decent times on the OG trials, but I know I'll never do well on the Bandito ones, I'm actually suprised I managed to beat it.

Well, I tihnk these time trials might be quite balanced as they're centered on one vehicle only as regular time trials you have a lot of different vehicles to choose from.

 

Gotta be light on the gas and knowing when to brake, though. Got it after my 3rd attempt. I like driving RC cars in gtao so I had some experience.

I usually suck at time trials so I don’t play them, but this time I was curious to try this. I did 1:40 at third attempt (1:46 at the second one) without doing anything special or tricky. Happy for the money.

umm i'm bad at time trials in general.. even in real life i'm always late, lol..

I race a lot and do time trials all the time, but this was really hard. I drive with kb+mouse and in races I never touch camera, I just let it follow the car.

I couldn't get under 2:00, it's so fast and chaotic. But then I tried actually using camera controls to look into the corner first, and then follow with the car .. and I did 1:43 first time I tried that.

So that's my advice. In this trial, seeing is very important.

I actually really enjoy these.  Do it once to learn the track, beat it easily on the second and got 200k, bonkers.

Amazing. You inspired me to try again and I barely got it on the 3rd try with 1:46.

I found first person view to be much easier for me, the RC feels somewhat more reactive.

Third attempt and it was in the bag... These TT are simple compared to the regular TT... I remembered I struggled alot harder on those. Nowadays it's a breeze, but when I started out, it was a pain. Especially since you had to find your own route or have some of the experts in here show you the way...

 

I understand it's a lil difficult to just have a start and end in these TTs and especially the current one, but deep down inside I hope the upcoming RC-TT have some with just a start and finish yellow dot, so we can once again get creative at finding and tweaking the best/fastest route... I really liked to experiment with those and see how and if I could beat par-time. Then come over here and see Olegg or Khaisz have an alternative route and see them shave off another 20-30secs LOL...Ah good times…

These trials are kinda ass. Checkpoints are very close together and some sections so quick you'll miss them on your first tries. Bandito plows on heavy braking. Thing is, these are much more forgiving compared to normal trials. I had some f*ck ups and still managed to beat the par.

I was a little disappointed when I saw we had markers to follow and hope they come up with a way to make these more like the old TT but since the Bandito is so small it might not be that easy

 

Edit: It's probably easy to make them A to B and there's still probably lots of possibilities

A small tip to all.... The checkpoints hitbox is larger than you think!

I never liked Arena Wars, but bought an Arena workshop and the Bandito RC just to play this TT.

 

Very much worth it, it's fun and easy, I managed to beat the par time while commiting plenty of mistakes

The checkpoints being out of view is a bit meh, but I thought it was really easy nontheless, even after not playing for some months.

Got a 1:51 on my first try and a 1:38 on my second. No screens though, didn't know this thread exited.
