Can't sell Lucky Wheel cars

I'm sorry if this has already been answered. I used the search function and didn't find any solution. But, is anyone else having this problem? I've won all the casino cars from the lucky wheel but I can't sell them. It gives me the vehicles worth up to $50,000 alert. iirc this alert pops up when a duped car is detected but I never tried to do any duplication glitch since I think they're too complicated. I ask this because my friends can sell their prize cars without a problem. So this happened if in the past I sold too many cars in a short period of time or something related? Or it's just my bad luck and the game thinks I cheated somehow? because I can sell my other cars just fine. Any responses are more than welcome. Sorry if I have grammar issues, english is not my first language.

Sometimes you outright can't sell them. Other times you can "sell" them but you'll get no money for them except the partial value for the upgrades if you bought any.

Has been answered plenty of times. You got the car for free, so you can only sell it for free (plus half of whatever you spent on upgrades).

edit: sorry, I misread the question. OP was unable to get rid of the car at all

It's so stupid. When you win a car in real life, you're not told you can't sell the car because you got it for free. It's your property, you should be able to sell it for the market value as you wish but we all know rockstar are too greedy for that.

There's an issue where we can't always sell the car we win, literally can't throw it away, lol.

 

I won the Turismo Classic and it came insured and with tracker, but when I go to sell it (for $0), the game says 'you can't sell this car because it's worth $50k or more' something like that. The only way I'll be able to get rid is overwrite it one day, but until then, It's stuck there.

 

The thread may be closed as it is something more known in the casino section. But without doubt, R* have messed this up, lol.

Yep, I know they sell for $0 ir almost nothing since you get them directly from the wheel, but my issue is not the sell value, is the fact that the game thinks they're duped cars

I had the same 'problem'. I won the Thrax during the first week of the Casino DLC and am still able to to sell it with its upgrades; however, I then won the Infernus Classic and am not allowed to sell it. The car is worth GTA$0 and is still worth GTA$0 no matter how many upgrades you put on it.

 

The only thing you can do is to try and remain philosophical. Hey, you won a car for free and it's probably a pretty cool car at that, so keep it, mod it and cherish it. Or, if you already own the car that you just won, sell the original and get some cash back on it. The new car isn't 'financially' worth anything, but it's still the same car you own in your amazing collection!

0) Move a car to a small garage

1) Fill the rest of the garage with street cars

2)  Purchase some cheap vehicle, select the filled garage and place the arrow OVER the vehicle you are unable to sell

3) Confirm purchase, this will overwrite the car and you will never see it again

4) Sell all the cars from the garage

 

Problem solved

All you can do is sell your current vehicle and then replace it with the one you won.  Since I have all the vehicles it's a win for me, but if I didn't have any of them it would suck.  

 

Here's another punch in the monkey from Rockstar.  I bought the Gauntlet Classic last week and spun the Lucky Wheel after.  I get the 10% vehicle discount (for a limited time) bonus.  I  mean seriously...and of course it doesn't help you with a vehicle you just bought.

That's a fair point. You don't get a 2mil car that easy everyday. I guess I'll keep them to at least try color/parts combos. Thanks for the reply

When you can simply spin it until you win it, by bypassing the 24hr restriction, there's absolutley no reason to give it any value and R* knows this. 

 

To the irl comparison made: When you attempt to win a car in a real life wheel spin chance, you don't just get to reset (disconnect from interwebs), reload and try again, until you won.

Simpler if you move the car to a full garage and then steal a car from the street to replace it.

Imo the disconnect exploits are the only thing unrealistic in this game. Cant tell you the number of times i went on a mass murdering spree got "robocopped" by the cops and woke up mere seconds later on the ajacent street corner with $200 less in my pocket and a urinary tract infection.

What did you expect? Rockstar giving you a million dollars from a wheelspin?

I love getting cars for free. And if you don't want the car, then don't spin the wheel.

Unless you are going for Mystery prizes, which in my case range from clothing and RP to full supplies on my already shut down MC businesses, or occasionally a cheap car.

I hate winning vehicles, I’d rather have 7500 RP.

 

Driving a vehicle without a value just feels like it’s made of cardboard, even if it performs just the same.

I believe you don't get your wheelspin back if you decline the car. Might as well take it and sell it for scrap, unless you have no place to store it.

I've just pressed circle when I get the prompt about which garage I want to put it in. Don't know which button that is on Xbox and pc tho

When I do accept a car I don't really want I just leave it in my garage and buy over it when a new car comes out. It does kinda suck I don't get anything for it but I didn't pay anything for it in the first place.

If you don't want the car just wait until the character times out and walks away from the wheel. This happened to me when I was trying to figure out which garage to put the PR4 in that I won last week and I was not amused.
