Me and Sasuu decided to swap wheels for GTA III XB variant, because we had some problems with GTA IV one and with VC XB as well. They are gonna stay like that until we think of sth.

Alpha 0.1 is no longer avalible, because it was too unstable. Alpha 0.2 coming soon. I encourage you to join Open Alpha test by entering Google Drive link.

We have decided to replace Claude with Roman and 8-ball with Little Jacob from GTA IV to make sth like "Roman's Stories". As we don't really know who Claude is, we can afford such change. I have alredy uploaded Roman's and Jacob's voices for cutscenes and dialogues in first mission to Open Alpha Test. I'm also sending you a video when I show you these characters and their voices, new timecycle and general test in first mission. I hope you enjoy that.

Terrible choice, in my opinion. Just stick with Niko. The fact that you guys use HD heads on GTA 3 peds is pretty bad too. Like I said before, you could use Skin and Bones, now that The Hero's tool can import and export III XBOX ped skins properly.

 

Oh, I just remembered. Some russian guy did a mod that gave the player voice lines. You should consider using that mod.

 

And change the roads pls. They look baddie bad.

I know that, but I don't know how to use that tool. This is photo after export original Xbox model (yes, that black bar is a ped)

Gonna test GTA IV roads soon. Still working on Skin and Bones peds to make them work properly.

And about these characters, me and Sasuu, we think that using Roman and Jacob is a good idea. Why? Because GTA III action have place in 2001, and Niko arrived to LC in 2008. The history of Roman and Jacob was never fully told in GTA IV, so why not explaining the story in GTA III?

After all these experiences, he could have traumatic shock and decided to settle down. That would even make sence.

And about the roads: I put some GTA IV roads textures into my mod and in my opinion they don't fit at all.

I found roads from other district of GTA IV and it fits much more. When I finish editing and replacing the roads, I will upload it on Open Alpha Test.

Thanks! In my opinion, we have made big progress since August.

Alpha 0.2 (stable) is now avalible to download. Changelog and download link are included in first post.

Nobody made such mod yet.


BTW. I've just figured out how to add more new vehicles to GTA III without editing gta3.img. Expect much more vehicles in new release.

We did our best to improve animations, but it's really hard to edit GTA 3 anims. We will take a try, but I'm not promising anything.

Just added ReShade config by HectorOConner to Open Alpha Test. If you want to use it, you need to install ReShade by yourself, because on some setups it will work with Direct3D 9, and on others with Direct3D 10/11/12.

And what's more, I'm happy to anounce first BETA version! It will be released on January/February 2020. Today, Open Alpha Test changes into Open Beta Test!
