I feel they're going to do that with this game too, but most mods still seem to work with GTA V, even after being forced to use the launcher.

I really don't know where this whole stigma of "Because the game is going to use the Rockstar Launcher, mods won't work" is coming from to be honest! Sure some mods don't work for GTA V anymore, but something tells me all they need to have done to them is simply be updated to work with the launcher.

Yes, mods work just fine with GTAV and the new launcher.  Ragehook and Scripthook had to be updated, but the launcher doesn't effect the mods I use (LSPDFR, Cars, Peds, scripts, visuals, ect ect).  RDR2 probably uses a similar file structure and encryption to GTAV.

Well thats good to hear ... It would suck if rockstar would block mods .

I'd like to see a mod that re-balances the health/damage system to be a bit less forgiving, it's far too hard to die in 2.

It could be done by tweaking the accuracy/damage of enemies a bit, I'd rather they hit you less and do more damage with a successful hit rather than them being able to pelt you over and over while doing minimal damage.

Also I'd definitely like to see a mod that let's you play the game with max level dead-eye from the start.

I'd like to bring the old Mexico map into the game, then overhaul the older models to ensure the they are on par with high quality models in RDR2.

1) a proper Needs overhaul, having to eat, drink, sleep and bath.

2) slow the timesycle down, the day-night cycle is WAY too fast.

3) stop blocking us from getting into the Blackwater surroundings and New Austin dammit. As an explorer and a Completionist-perfectionist freak, I NEED to get into New Austin and fill out the sh*t there without being forced to wait a damn eternity until you're allowed to do so.

4) overhaul the Wanted system. It's already good I'll admit, but if for instance you stumble across a wagon robbery and managed to kill the bandits, I shouldn'tbe wanted for "Murder". C'mon. 

5) overhaul the Challenges system. Make the game track what you did. For instance, if you have already killed 5 Cougars and skinned them using the bow, you'll automatically pass the Master Hunter 6 challenge. Same goes for the rest.

Harry Turtledove and his timetraveling apartheid nationalists come to mind. Would love to shoot them and loot their tech.

Also, interesting NPCs, like Molly Bean, the reversetrap greycoat with the heart of gold.

Definitely more interiors, ideally eventually every building. Also, this is grim but, I'd like a mod where limb dismemberments don't immediately kill the NPC. Crawling with a leg blown off, sitting writhing in pain at their stump of an arm, etc.

A violence overhaul would be dope bigger blood pools and all that jazz, I was talking to a friend and we were like “what if you stab a fella w/ a knife for example and it adds in the animation of when ya shoot someone in the neck” You know that stagger animation they’re holding onto their neck. f*cked up i know...

A mod that exposes the graphical settings to its maximum details. I bet this time it will very likely be possible.

That's my point, the pickup from one game cannot be brought to the other game that doesn't feature cars. And if you see this as a product you wouldn't name two different things by the same name, a car and an animal. Hence no bobcat at all in rdr since that name is taken in GTA for a other thing.

 

That's just the absurd reasoning I tried to convey in my original message ;)

You're not making any sense. I spoke straightforward and stated the game needs a mod to include the bobcat as in an animal. Whatever you are saying is not what I am saying, and I don't care to further understand.

It's not complicated, bud.

 

He was making a joke. A joke saying that this game can't have a bobcat, because the bobcat is a pickup truck in GTA. And pick up trucks were not in the wild west.

 

It's word play. Comedy.
