Keep in mind that the offender and daily sell limit systems also apply to legitimate personal vehicles. So if you're looking to clean house and get rid of a lot of your old PV's, you're going to have to stagger your sales out just like the dupe sellers.

No, it just means they tried to sell too many cars within a certain period of time. There's a daily sell limit, period.

Explain how i sold 15 elegy's in 30 minutes (because i cleared out some spots i once intended to use for nefarious purposes) without any issue yesterday? (all with small modifications/none sold for $0)

CarimboHanky is correct, you can get flagged for selling too often, many of my 'glitching' friends have this

If you've never hit any limits before you might be able to sell up to 40 cars in a 30 hour period before you hit any limit but you've crossed a threshold and are most likely flagged. Shouldn't be a problem if you don't continue selling this way tho

You can actually raise your limit as long as you're not in the one car club

You can sell a whole bunch of cars if you haven't sold for a while. Then you will have to wait 30 hours and you will only be able to sell 3, then have to wait 30 hours, then another 3 then 30 hour wait etc.

 

I don't know the period needed between doing the last of the 30 hour sales and going back to being able to sell lots in one go, presumably it's a week.

 

I dumped about 60% of my vehicles recently and after selling about 7 on the first day, I had to do 3 each 30 hours for literally weeks.

 

It's the second collection I've dumped and the first time it performed exactly the same.

PS removing aircraft from your hangar counts as PV sales too, even though you're not selling them.

That must have been long time ago. 1.42 patch notes.

• Fixed an issue where removing a Pegasus vehicle from your Hangar would count towards the daily vehicle sell limit.

Correct version: Never sell more than 7 in a 30h period and don't sell more than 2 cars in any 2 hour timeframe

 

According to the OP post in the thread linked by CarimboHanky. It's not impossible that there were changes to the system with the latest DLC, that might take some time to become apparent.

mmm no, while the daily limit applies to all players, OP sold 3 vehicles before hitting the limit, thats a tell tale sign of a repeat offender aka someone that for some reason hit the daily limit over and over and over again.

 

the last time i was clearing out my garages back in 2017, i was able to sell 46 vehicles back to back without hitting the limit, a friend of mine got involved in duping, became a repeat offender and  at the moment he has a daily limit of 2 vehicles every couple days.

He could have sold 3 cars in 2 hours multiple times before though and never hit a sell limit. Did it once too many times and this time they stopped him at that point? 

 

The whole sell limit thing is pretty retarded in my book anyway. The dupers know exactly how to avoid it and make millions out of it. The innocent empty garages of low value cars and get hit.

 

The thing would be a whole lot smarter if they only applied the sell limit to vehicles that were loaded with upgrades and worth duping. So you may only sell so many elegy retros per day but as many rh8s or supercars as you want. The supercars aren't worth sh*t as a dupe because they don't carry enough upgrades and the rh8s are free to begin with so why even count them as a sale unless they have the bennys upgrade.

This. Also if you dupe cars and have 2 with the same plate that isn't a custom plate never sell the second one. If you get a car from a GCTF glitch that has a custom plate that you don't own never sell it. 

 

One of my accounts has been dupe detected twice. Once was when I sold 2 cars that had the same generic plate and once was when I was clearing my garages and sold a car that I got from a GCTF glitch that had a custom plate that I didn't own. I got the daily sell limit message after I sold it and the one I sold with same plates was the only 2 cars I sold in a few days.

yeah, the limit is bullsh*t, as it applies to any vehicle you sell when it should actually detect dupes.

 

saying that, then the buy anything for free glitch would be way better then as you could just buy different cars and there are lots approaching 3 mil

The limit maybe bullsh*t but all you need to do to get around is to sell about 5 a day if you have hit the limit twice like me you and i at the point make hella more money

then most players unless they are modding so be greatful you cannot get banned for this so use it to your advantage you get about 4,278,750$ in gta currency a day your gonna be rich ash sooner then later

i just got a ban warning yesterday but that was because i was duping the arena war cars so your basically making bank so yu dont get banned  just sell 5 then look to see if you can sell if you can stop there and wait 30hrs then your good sell another 5 etc. but if you hit the limit when you get down to 3 first of all you can definaty count your account as flaged (RED) and then thell send a bot basically just stay under your limit and your good.... ima real N*gga i wont steer yall wrong and thats OTS...

I’m having a problem also. Where I was duplicating issi and I sold like 2 then when I tried to sell a third one. I reached the Daily sell limit and now I can only sell 1 car every 30 hours.

You probably didn't have custom plates, if that's the case you just have to get used to sell one car every 30 hours. That and playing the game should get you enough money to manage

I'm planning on selling everything on my original character, deleting it and starting a new one at level 120 because I have to many properties and costs, I had no idea I could get in trouble for selling vehicles that were bought legit.

Strange because I have cleaned out garages TWICE on my 2nd character. All at once and have never had a daily sell limit or any problems selling any amount of cars. I even sold a few Faggios back in 2013.
