Mattineu
Title says all, A lot of features from SA were cut, or not even added in the first place because of the PS2 limitations, since even 2004 pc's would run heavier games than the PS2, for comparison, Half Life 2 was realeased in the same year as San Andreas, and the game still holds up today, not saying that HL2 has mindblowing graphics and physics for 2019, but comparing to San Andreas, it still looks great. Anyway, how much do you think San Andreas would change if it was made for the PC?
Beato_dim
I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be that much different. Maybe the aiming system would be somewhat different, the flying controls (default ones) would probably be more intuitive on the keyboard; the graphics could have been just a little better - that's pretty much it. Evil empire and Liberty-TG

I don't think so, there is that old story that San Andreas could be having more stuff, thus having a bigger disk size, if it wasen't for the PS2 CD's, even that San Andreas don't fill all of the CD, still, there would probably be more stuff to do. DOUGL4S1
They would lose a lot of sales by not releasing the game in one of the most popular consoles at the time. And I don't think it would be that different, maybe a slightly more detailed map.
god speed
It could have been much better with features like car deformation and ragdolls that we first saw in GTA IV. San Andreas on PC felt pretty outdated by 2005 standards tbh.
lil weasel
Easy. In the time period that the GTA San Andreas Game was released. Nearly ALL PC games, and for that matter the Majority of Console games All sold at retail between 39.95$US and 59.95$US No decent PC game sold for less than 59$US. All Games were CD/DVD distribution. My first copy of GTA San Andreas was 59$ (DVD v2). At the time the Hardware needed was barely available, and still was limited to most users/players. I would expect that the PC game would NOT have had the capability for GamePad use, as many of those antiques used only the Keyboard & Mouse. Which has led to a type of game Purist that spits on us GamePad users. Edited August 15, 2019 by lil weasel
Lioshenka
It wouldn't be much different I think. 2004, the age of 17" CRT monitors, wouldn't demand a higher-resolution textures, and anything too detailed would lag on slower systems thus reducing the number of potential customers. Maybe as the other said, better controls would be implemented, but other than that I think it would be very much the same.
Nintendo Thong Tuna
People saying it wouldn't have been much different at all are underestimating how weaksauce the PS2 hardware really was. GTA SA was made in its scope in spite of PS2's hardware. I can imagine they would have retained a lot of features cut for memory's sake if the lead platform was say, the Xbox. Evil empire
I think the graphics would be a bit better, with ragdolls.
